I would definitely recommend checking out other real grades! Most of the problems you mentioned (unstable frame, "prone to breakage") come from people who build like a caveman, handling their kits like an action figure rather than a plastic model. You really can't do that with a Real Grade. Since you already work with wiring and such, I assume you know not to manhandle your kits! I think you would really enjoy the intricate build of some older Real Grades. Rather than inner detail, the frame serves an entirely structural purpose: it's there for the shifting armor panels to attach to. The part separation on some of the older ones also makes them easier to paint.

I know the comment is months late, but I am so glad I found your channel. Your video’s are the best. I love that you explain your process and what you are using as you are building your build. Especially as you paint and what paints you are using as you are routing the led’s thru your build. I love the colors you used on the under carafe and the thrusters it looks so good. Starting with the RG #25 Unicorn, RGs have been greats kits that have been improving kit by kit. (Skip #26 which was just a Ridden recolor Zaku II). RGs right now are basically small MGs with a few removed features but with QoLs and tweaked proportions, RG details, and the pros of being a smaller kit in relation to stability and posability.

I think the RG has been really really improved since RG Unicorn. The frame is so much more steadier. For my beside eva series I think RX-93 Nu gundam and Sazabi are the best.

Late to the game but thanks for the video dude! I used to not really be into the RG line. At first I thought it was a cheaper smaller MG and the prebuilt frame didn't appeal to me. The first couple RGs I built are finicky but more recent releases are pretty nice.

Wait so you havent built any recent RG kits like the Sazabi or Crossbones? Those two are arguably some of the best gunpla kits in general. I would say at the very least since the RG Exia, the kit line has made some vast improvements and outshines MG at times. Other than that a very nice Zeong build! Subscribed!!

So I built few rx-79(G) gundams. I did the leds for some. I hated seeing the wiring so I ran them down the leg and drill a small hole on the bottom of the foot. Then use hot glue to attach to a wooden base

most RG kits after the unicorn RG is where the frame got good and the RG long hit a good spot its the pre unicorn RG that going to pain with a lot of hit or misses on the line

I had an idea while watching this and that was to have plugs in the connections for the arms and one on the backflap so they could be disconnected and for the arms using a seperate wire to reconnect the arms and one on the rear flap to connect to a base

Yeah, the old RGs were kind of not great in terms of the amount of flop they got from their pre-molded inner frame. Breakage is just from people not understanding small plastic parts require a bit more finesse than thicker ones. I think you've done most of the kits that are really great in the RG line in other grades, but I definitely recommend the Sazabi and the Nu. They're closer to the size of a normal master grade, meanwhile being phenomenal kits in terms of detail. RG is probably my favorite line, followed by MG, but beyond the Zeong, and the unicorn kits, LED is going to be a challenge.

Well, the solid kits in the RG line i know is - RG Unicorn, Unicorn Full Armor, Banshee, Unicorn Perfectibility Gundam base Exclusive (WHICH DOES TRANSFORM) (including Phenex but its Gold Plated and, GODDAMN EXPENSIVE ITS AROUND 3 TO 4 MILLION PLUS INDONESIAN RUPIAHS) - RG Crossbone (take note this thing is GODDAMN SMOL) - RG Force Impulse (also Sword impulse but its P-Bandai - RG Sazabi(FANTASTICALLY GODLIKE) - RG Nu-Gundam(FANTASTICALLY GODLIKE) - maybe also Tallgeese EW (im not sure yet but what ive seen the joint frame is still solid) Not only that but theres also new release of the RG Wing Gundam TV Version (does not use the old RG Joint frame from the Wing Gundam Zero Custom and Wing Gundam EW) and what ive been waiting the RG Hi-Nu Gundam Edit: theres also the RG MK-II but surprisingly it has a Full Pre-Molded joint frame but its Very Solid, hell gunpla reviewer Mecha Gaikotsu said he did play the RG MK-II and its still solid, no floppy, no arts loose, its just PERFECT
