I wish all servants just had a solid, well known story like Odysseus does for the Illiad and Odyssey. The hardest part of these lores is deciding which things Fate acknowledges and what to omit. Oh, and I'm fully aware I accidentally say "rayshift" instead of "zero sail".

Well that very idea is pretty much where mystery comes from as older stories just weren't written down and most of the Greek or even Norse story comes from art and word of mouth. So as it was word of mouth people could and would just change it if they either felt like it or didn't remember correctly. Trick with Fate is they tend to stick with the most consistent story elements and when they touch really specific legends they tend to acknowledge it. Also Agamemnon sucks Poseidon is petty And Odysseus had one hell of an excuse for being late to dinner.

You forgot a *very crucial* part of the Trojan War story Dai; according to the version of the story I read, A Trojan priestess of Athena named Cassandra, actually *saw through* the Trojan Horse ruse, told the Trojans that the horse was a trap, having Achean soldiers inside, ready to bring Troy down from the *inside* when the time's right, and told them to *burn it down* . But the Trojans *ignored* her, and brought the horse in, and when the Achean forces start bringing Troy down, Cassandra clung to an altar of Athena for safety; unfortunately, despite having been much wiser than the other Trojans in seeing through the Trojan Horse ruse, Cassandra ended up suffering as much for her people's foolishness when the Achean "hero" Ajax, *ripped* her away from the altar of Athena and *raped* her. If Cassandra hasn't yet appeared in Fate: Grand Order as a servant seeking vengeance against Ajax in a similar fashion to Penthesilia seeking revenge against Achilles for killing her, I honestly think it *should* happen soon.

My favourite Greek Hero is here. In the real world mythology, one of the vanishingly few heroes who got a happy ending (I’m not counting latter additions added after Homer, leave him alone). No outstanding physical traits, no ludicrous weapons, no Divine aid to constantly bail him out. Just a highly intelligent and creative man, with a iron will and a goal in mind. What aid he gets from the gods he has already earned, he goes through hell and back and in the face of all the absurdity, all the unfair struggles, he never breaks and eventually his Odyssey come to an end. Grand Order adding all of the Kamen Rider-esce armour and powers is just the cherry on top. First time seeing Troia Ippos, my jaw dropped.

Ummmmmmm... Odysseus had a pretty large amount of aid from Athena though it often wasn't direct aid such as while fighting, especially in the original mythology. Most of the aids he gets from Athena seems to be just people attributing his intelligence and strategies as ATHENA GSVE HIM THESE IDEAS CAUSE SHES THE GODESS OF BATTLE STRATEGY. He also has Aegis in fate so he may not have an incredible weapon but he has a suit of armor made for the Olympian gods so ya...

Only took them two years to give him the helmet but Odysseus is a patient man I guess. Sure they watered down his story but I liked it as Circe was cute. Kinda felt rushes in lb 5 and white day(should have been before lb 5) how he was taken out and had a quick time event basically but still fun.

I love his epic, and how events are expertly crafter add a sense of avoidable tragedy to the story almost like Ragnarok. Also when I first heard Odysseus was going to be in fate I thought he would be a rider for him surviving his voyage with the god’s themselves opposing him and not The Trojan Horse. While I whaled for him (and failed), I’m still dissatisfied with his design, not the artwork or armor but just his face It looks too worn out and decrepit. Also I feel like Super Orions NP would be more fitting for Odysseus and Athena considering how much she helped him through his epic. Although they would definitely not give the buffs.

Have to disagree with you on the last part where you mention that you think Odysseus should have a NP like orion does but with Athena. Orions relationship with Artemis in myths is a rare thing becuase Artemis rarely ever has much to do with heroes, especially male heroes but Athena is one of THE MOST active gods in helping heroes plus Athena was thought of as the supporter of Greeks in general during the Trojan war while immensely favoring the heroes Diomedes AND Odysseus who were close comrades and very often planned many of the strategies they used for the war together. Athena's relationship with Odysseus isn't as unique as Artemis's relationship with Orion

But well I like Circe a whole lot more so you almost made me shed a tear for her when you mentioned the mini singularity Medea created just to help her aunt, that's bittersweet but good that Circe could finally move on. Odysseus a positive tale.. you should know love follow first always so on I believe odysseus storyline is about love and playing it cool putting your best foot forward. It was a good idea to put marriage relationships in odysseus storyline. Tells about a perfect odysseus and his family in a strange world with goddesses. A true noble family of goddesses and yes Otaku deciding on fate is good but risky in the storyline. But mostly we got to get away from reality is the reason why I love storytime with you Otaku..

I was always excited for Odysseus, so I’m glad you talked about this one! When I faced him in the Atlantis LB, what I liked best is that he did NOT mess around and took no chances with trying to eliminate Chaldea. He may have lost in the end, but definitely not from lack of trying.

The Olympian gods really seem to have a love/hate relationship with Odysseus. The ones who did hate Odysseus tried to break him, but underestimated his incredible determination. Though their love was not meant to be, I still ship Odysseus and Circe; their chemistry in the Aeaea singularity was cute. Imagine how the Atlantis/Olympus Lostbelt would turn out if Circe was summoned and had to fight against LB Odysseus. Edit: I bet Circe would find it difficult to fight LB Odysseus at first cause of her love for him, but would later find the will to fight realizing LB Odysseus is not the man she fell in love with.
