What I love about Sukana's delivery is that he is menacing but in a very matter of fact way. He doesn't feel the need to yell or be verbally or even physically aggressive to show how dangerous he is. He knows how dangerous he is and how people should treat him and it is just like a fact like water is wet. It's the difference between screaming "IM GONNA KILL YOU" vs just casually going, "I'm gonna kill you".

I'd be really interested to hear Danny's thoughts on JJK if Nick wasn't such a huge fan that is willing to explain everything. Kenjaku inside of Geto's body and what that does Gojo shouldnt have to be explained. Danny said he loves Hidden inventory but he somehow didnt recognize the two girls Geto saved, and why they want to kill kenjaku even after the flashbacks. Gege found one of the least ass pull way to bring back Toji and he doesnt like it. Every week he makes up new reasons to not like Yuji. I honestly think Nick being a walking JJK encyclopedia puts a muzzle on how Danny really feels because if he doubled down on some of his takes despite Nick giving him well fleshed out answers he would come off as a hater

Did y'all notice that Toji did that "teleport" style movement way more in this part of the season than in the first half of the season? I think it is because we see most of the first half of the season through Gojo's perspective, so Toji seems very fast, but still we can see his movement rather than him disappearing because Gojo has the Six-Eyes.

after watching the Toji vs Megumi section and hearing Danny's complaints, that are mostly explained in the show, I think we all have to just accept he doesn't like the show. Yuji is the main character so he is going to the the center of the hate.

The issue he has is that all of Yuji's major fights so far are tag teams where the smart moves are someone else's idea. The only majorish fight he won solo was against the grasshopper chode curse and maybe Junpei

He has basically no solo wins. No domain expansion, lack of an innate technique, lack of experience and power. He was about to get clapped by choso then the memory thing happened. Now he’s battling sukuna with higuruma. Sukuna should no diff both simultaneously but he won’t. His domain expansion should overwhelm higuruma so there should be no chance of getting the executioners sword. So someone explain to me how they can possibly win this fight without some bullshit or ass pull? Not to mention they still have to deal with kenjaku?? And they’re doing this with no gojo or yuta?? It’s not hate just facts. Logical speaking they don’t have a win condition

1:06:49 the weapon is called a three-section staff and to my knowledge it's an alright weapon- A quarter staff is better at being a staff weapon than a three-section staff because the chains kinda make it difficult to really strike with power like a staff. Clubs are better at being club weapons than a three-sections staff because the chains limit your movement. The benefit of a three-section staff is that you can use it as a staff and as clubs decently. It's like a spork. A spoon is better at being a spoon and a fork is better at being a fork, but a spork can do an okay job at being both. Another commenter also said that the chain makes it a less predictable weapon and more compact

Danny Mary Sue rant is wild cause like Yuji is so far from Mary Sue. He's physically capable sure, but that alone barely matter in the world and fighting against cursed spirits and socereries. For Luffy it is from the Gum Gum fruit, not necessarily his bloodline. He does work for it and likely wouldn't have unlocked it without work, granted he lives through more things than he likely should have but he isn't perfect. I could see Yuji, Naruto, and Luffy having Mary Sue like moments, but it is balanced with them failing, training, and needing to rely on others and not just being perfect on their own. A majority of Shounen protags are like them.

I think the grandma seance thing perfectly illustrates a big flaw in GeGe's writing ability. He is a bit impatient and doesn't plan in advance well. So we get a lot of scenes that are just the exception to something or the one case in which something doesn't work. It would be like Naruto introducing the Byakugan in the same scene it for some reason actually can't see a person's Chakra and then never using it again. If you don't live in your universe a bit that scene isn't impactful and feels kind of plot armor or ass pull. I think it also leads to your powers in your power system not really having a legacy or staying power. People will talk about infinity or Ten Shadows long after JJK ends because we see it work and be used to great effect. But I don't think people on the whole really care about seance magic or projection sorcery that we just see get owned in the scene it gets introduced. Even a certain recent curse technique that gets hyped up in one arc only to get owned as it is shown for the first time in a single chapter won't have people talking about it, because as far as we are concerned it has a 0% success rate and the person may as well not have had it.

Hidden Inventory, which is part of this season, is where we see Geto meet them and we at least see them with him when he goes give his speech to his congregation. He tussles their hair. On Geto adopting those two girls: I think Danny is totally justified in not knowing or caring about their relationship to Geto. Like, sure, it was heavily implied just before their deaths that they were surrogate daughters to him, but given what happens immediately after, that's too little too late for me to care. Also, the fact that their relationship really isn't expanded upon prior doesn't help their case. P.S. I know that this is a symptom of JJK 0 being a very rudimentary one-shot that can't explore Geto's faction as much as Hidden Inventory explores Geto, himself. But an issue is still an issue, and should be recognized as such. It doesn't take away from how good Shibuya has been so far.
