i'm glad YOU were here today....one of the best lines from an otalia scene imho...to me that really cinched the it's not gus's heart that liv's in love with...it's olivia

Me too, Erikatica. I also liked all of Olivias introspective stares; the one where she is alone, unsure of how this is going to go and the one at the end when Frank acknowledges Olivias love for Natalia. It seemed as if Olivia was contemplating her love being seen and reflected back to her. I also liked Olivias Thank You without qualifiers. She was not thanking Frank for Rafe or Natalia, she was thanking him for herself for what he did for her family. Frank got that.

When Natalia said "I am glad you were here today"....what a sweet thing to say to Olivia!

Aaahh..I'm back and I love the fact that Frank "saved" the day and Liv got the hugs while he watched. Oh and oohh how bout Liv says she's glad Gus's heart was there and Nat is like "I'm glad you were here" Looks like someone found a new "love of her life"

MentalVoid - Thanks you. The part of the no brain was great. I've seen comments about people giving Rafe a break for his age. I hear that but I guess this good child in me would try to remember that my mother lost a love as well and the hell she must have in when I was away. I've said it before he was selfish before prison and he has not changed.
@jesusthongs15 жыл бұрын
frank is a good guy (i want to slit my own throat for saying it) but he did and does everything for nat and rafe in the hopes that she will love him and be grateful to him. liv does all because no matter what she gets in return nat's happiness is the only thing that matters--unconditional, selfless love. and yeah nat could use a little space so she can see just how nuts she'll go without liv

Did Buzz forget his meds today?! I had trouble understanding ONE word that came out of his mouth. On another note, although I want 'Frankie' to disappear from the Otaliaplanet, i soo prefer this surly version of him than breathy, whispery Furtz! Judge must have also forgotten his meds. That 'male' mentor was bolony. Rafe is an adult now...ridiculous. I'm sad for Liv, but loved Nat's reasurance all along the epi (doesn't mean we can't be together, I'm glad u were here, hugs, hand grabbing)
@garterra15 жыл бұрын
I'm in agreement with those of you who think that Franks involvement at this stage could be positive. He's a good guy and I think he is finally starting to see how much Olivia loves Nat and how it has made her a better person. I'm betting he's going to be one of the people who help them along the way not only with Rafe but with other people as well.

And you know what made it worse Frank having a freakin' "superhero" moment in the court room [insert the theme for Superman here] BARF. You see that hug at 5:39 Frank...you still lose Frank...you still lose

It's kinda interesting to see that Emma always brings them closer together, while Rafe actually tries to get Frank and Natalia closer together. Open your eyes! Otalia all the way! :D

I agreed with you garterra I believe (since they have made a huge issue of letting us know that Frank is such good guy), that he will make Rafe understand and accept their relationship. I think he knows Olivia trully loves Natalia. Eventhough I haven't heard her say" I love You" to Nat

Because that's always been part of Frank's Character. He raised Harley after their Parents Left, he Hired Eleni to work of The Airline Ticket at Wheels & Meals, he's always been a Caretaker because he feels that's the only way to be loved and appreciated.

I think Frank may have finally gotten past some of his hostility towards Olivia and her and Nat's relationship. When he saw them hug he could see love there. He easily could have accepted Rafe's invitation to dinner but he knows it's not his place any longer. Frank is a decent guy, and as long as he isn't a hinderance to Otalia, or "accidently" tells Rafe or anyone about the relationship then he can mentor Rafe. Otalia needs alone time and Rafe can hang with Frank at those times. No problem.
@BackuZel15 жыл бұрын
MentalVoid - love your sock puppet point. I wonder whether this situation is not arising due to the fact that Nat refuses to tell Rafe about Liv. The boy has always been sensitive when it came to his mother but he is a boy and two things I know boys smell funny and are usually clueless on matters of the heart.

I kinda agree (I by kinda I mean really) I have a feeling Rafe's reaction to Otalia is going to be bad... really bad. I was also under the impression that shooting Jeffery wasn't an accident so... I hope we're wrong and he's grown up but judging from the preview he hasn't.

I think that part of the reason why Frank did what he did because he may have remembered how Ross Marler had his back when he wasn't much older than Rafe helping him go on the Straight & Narrow so to speak.
@cheryltaylor1215 жыл бұрын
I have two hypotheses about the "male mentor." 1. Plot device to keep Frank close enough to be a real good person and help Rafe through his mom's relationship reveal. 2. Like when Olivia yelled at Rafe and told him to answer his mothers questions when he was first arrested, Olivia steps up as the mentor that the judge intended Frank to be. I am betting on 1, I do not think emasculating Frank is good story.

She said she loved her both at the graveyard confession and at the spa when she said she loved her because she was the most nuturing person she had ever met. As for Frank, don't get me wrong, I find him quite annoying but, It would be nice to see him begin to understand the predicament Oliva has been in and will continue to be in. BTW, Jessica is getting so huge its getting hard to ignore it.

@bosyeux215 жыл бұрын
yes, but it often does. we make distinctions all the time even those of us that say we don't. are you gay or straight? if you are either, then gender clearly matters to you. rafe is a troubled person. he was missing his father... give him a father figure to help him come to terms with it. let him talk to a man about how to be a decent man. i love my brothers and father immensly, but there are things i can't talk to them about and things they can't understand. right or wrong is irrelevant.
@laminage11 жыл бұрын
Rafe had a lot of people who wanted to be Role Models, Gus & Remy are perfect examples. His Father tried to get close to him but got the brushoff. If The Judge said he needs to get counselling once a week from someone who can make him see the errors of his ways, that would be different.

mmhmm interesting indeed. though no bleach, scrubbie brushes, or rubber gloves allowed. if you recall, we've already appreciated how, after washing dishes by hand, natalia "you can never get anything too clean" rivera likes to rest her head on liv's chest. (march 3) metaphors can be fun, you just have to take them out of the hands of a half-wit ass. thank you for coming with me on this one ; }

OMFG, "a strong male presence"... seriously? if it wasn't 2am i would totally be yelling at my computer right now. Sexism is alive and well in the Springfield legal system apparently. Oh please...a strong male role model? That is the most sexist and stupid thing I have ever heard in addition to the fact that it would never happen IRL. Like women aren't able to raise a kid right? They do it all the time. Besides, his parole officer is probably a guy. Frank doesn't miss any opportunity to diss on Olivia does he? So far she has kept her mouth shut but I hope she eventually puts him in his place. Buzz too. You go girl.

But I have to say, I'm not suprise with how the Primetime Emmy's turns out every year with there nomination... I shouldn't be suprise with the daytime ones...
@bosyeux215 жыл бұрын
they're presenting genuine pitfalls and daily realities. give it time. this was not a freakin' custody hearing as some people seem to be assessing it as. a young adult man is being released from prison after shooting someone. i happen to think insisting on a mentor is a good idea. the fact that he lost his father (and was devastated by it) and still has a mother suggests a male mentor is a good idea. is frank the best man for it? i dunno, but he becomes a good plot device.
@bosyeux215 жыл бұрын
nah, he's comparing his "relationship" with natalia to a broken dishwasher--which is good for what? ohhh, i pick... NOTHING. and is it worth fixing? NOOOOO, cuz nat is now quite content to wash her dishes by hand... and liv will dry. mmmmmmmetaphors.... darkside? hee, doris kicked that out of him. he's practically being nice to liv this episode. perhaps even he recognizes the divineness that is otalia.
