Those scenes were beautifully shot. Loved the long distance shot over the lake. Crystal continued with her smokiness. I usually don't get so awestuck but just wow. I loved how the characters each took Edmunds message and applied it to tehir own. I could see Olivia's mind and heart at work. Lovely way to end it with an affirmation that even though things are going to be tough Olivia knows it's what she wants.

This was a very deep episode with a little interspersed humor. Olivia's message to Natalia was sweet and how brilliant was it to have her make the call in the gazebo. It was snowing back on that non-wedding day in that same gazebo and now, it is spring and time is passing and Olivia feels the passage of that time--our lives just go by and then, we are dust, as Edmond put it in the video.

Olivia is learning what having faith in someone else is all about. Natalia cannot tell her this. Faith is the internal ability to believe in something that you have no real proof is there. In order to have faith you have to believe in your own ability to disseminate what and who to have faith in. Olivia is learning to trust her heart and have faith in her ability to love. Natalia is doing her best to help her, by offering her love and signs of love as often as she can.

CC is great as always, very beautiful with that hair and coat. And rather cute on the cell phone. I miss Natalia, don't know how to cope to be without her for a whole month. I would like to belive that they made lots of extra takes with her and Olivia together so they can air it as Olivia's memories during Nat's absence. Wouldn't be good? That bench scene, for instance, could be back in her mind a little longer than the original one :-)

I still can't get over how beautiful Edmund's speech was!! What a great GL moment! Gazobo scene made my hear happy too!! And usually I'm all about Nat's gorgeousness, but man I got to say, Olivia in skinny jeans and stilettos!! hot damn!!! ...still missed my blushing Dimples though...:(

Damn. Edmund actually made me cry. *sniff* The bastard! Of course, Reva's eye-rolling during kinda put a damper on it. LOL Ah, an Otalia day without Nat is like Xmas with no snow, A birthday cake and no candles, A nite in Vegas with no anonymity! I miss dimples. And so does Liv... ;) That last gazebo scene was great. Selfless love is coming out of Liv's pores!

Nat said things will change now that rafe is coming home...poor Liv, she's so scared to lose Nat. She wants to reassure Nat no matter what happens she's in it for the long haul. And together they can and will handle anything.

When Edmund said, "All I thought about was me and it left me empty and alone." The camera was on Olivia. "Why is it that we don't value the precious moments in life? Why do we waste so much time with things, when the thing that really matters are those moments that bind us together. If you're lucky enough to be loved hold onto it, hold it in your heart." Liv heard Edmund, and knows that her love for Emma opened the door for her love for Natalia. Liv knows the purity of her love for Nat.

Hmmm...well put cheryl! I think that is a pretty interesting perspective about why Olli is more reluctant to say 'i love u' lately, while Nat is the one being more verbal about it all the time, not only with the ''i love u's'' but even with all the compliments (hands, hair, etc.)...yet she is percieved as the most insecure one in getting the physical part started...oh these ladies! I say we lock them up in a cabin with a large stock of wine and let them finally 'figure it out'!! :D

Can you imagine how heartbreaking it must have been for Shayne to still keep the secret that he indirectly caused Lara's Death. Also if the show was still on the air let it be discovered that she didn't die and she wants custody of Baby Henry, who is now the new Prince of San Cristobel. Also let Marah come back to confess that she had Jeffrey O'Neil's Son. Edmund reminds me so much of Carl King on the UK Soap Opera Emmerdale, he was the "Youngest" and "Favorite" of his late Father Tom who was too domineering and controlling over his life and the lives of his Brothers Matthew and Jimmy. He killed their Father and let so many innocent get arrested for what they didn't do.

I think for Olivia, "I love you," is an intimacy that is linked with sex. Her life is out of order right now, and it is hard for her to understand how to share love, without intimacy. Remember her fear of giving up her power over men, it is what she knows and is comfortable with. Loving and allowing someone truly to love her is foreign to her. This is real intimacy and she is uncomfortable with it. Natalia is secure in her ability to love someone, so she shares it freely.

Love the phone call. Even though Edmund, for the most part, was an ass, that speech was heart wrenching. He got to everyone at that "picnic". I'm guessing that's why Olivia called Nat. Anyways, loved today's epi with the a big portion of the cast together. Would of been nice if Natalia sneaked up during Edmund's speech and put her arm around Liv ;)

OOh, great idea. And phone calls! Someone suggested Liv asking Nat to explain what she was feeling/thinking during the near-kiss. The seismic tonal shift that we got today --not only with the resurgence of LIv's internal fears but also a story transition: shooting her now as a supporting part of the larger community -- I'm in awe, we're being shown the clockworks of soap story construction. Something ELSE about this scene is arresting: I think EW is foreshadowing an Olivia meltdown.

Poor O she is so scared to loose N that she has gone to Jeff to ask for help. She knows things could change with Rafe home. She is desperately seeking ways for N to stay strong in their love,Reasuring that she is there for her, She even goes away from everybody else to the gazebo when once N to her that she couldn't marry Frank because she loved her. To me that was so sad because she is trying her best to keep their love alive

I think she didn't say it because this scene --this whole episode -- was written to telegraph Olivia's quick dip into the darkness of fear and despair that she might not get the relationship she has so recently thought was going to be hers. We're seeing a tiny hint of the descent into madness that the old Olivia might visit -- WE know that Otalia = Endgame, but Olivia doesn't. ANd right now she's feeling deeply alone and insecure. In that sort of state, Olivia historically acts out OR w/draws...

I agree; that kiss was H.O.T. HOT. Funny -- the Josh scene I found very akward and unsexy -- BOTH of them! So I'm glad it worked for others of you, esp. since CC has said Robert N is one of her dearest friends. As for fave guy actor, I am alone in this and please, NO catcalls -- someone has to do the heavy lifting here :) -- I am a very big and appreciative fan of Frank D. I think he has played whiney/overbearing/doltish/obsessed/passive-aggressive perfectly, and it's a thankless job.
