This is one of the most amazing things Liv did for Natalia, since she loved that job so much...but especially because it was such an utterly selfeless thing to do...the foundations of Ms. Spencer shifting out of love for Natalia...this is one of the reasons this story has been so beautiful, because is about the transformative effect a love this deep can have on people. We need more stories like this..so inspiring!

mudpiegirl- Just revisiting these clips (missing GL) and I agree with your post. Liv does this huge selfless act for Nat, doesn't even want her to know, so Nat can feel better about herself. Frank on the other hand has to shout his good deed from the roof top and enlist his dad to tag team Nat. I love when Buzz announces they've made $200 and Nat is grateful ,but comments to Rafe that she'll never be able to make up what was lost. Liv just swoops in w/80k (&killer eyebrows) to rock Nats world.

The talk about the job and Olivia quitting something that was sooooo important for her at the beginning, I think made Nat realizing what Olivia did for her even more powerful and so much more meaningful. Nice gesture Frank on the whole tree bit it was really nice of you to do that for her trying to help her expecting Nat to like you yet Olivia gave up so much more expecting nothing. Hmmm, Olivia 3, Frank -2.

Frank was not doing all these things unconditionally he wanted Natalia that why he did all that he did --- unlike Olivia.. she gave up so much and that was just because.. no strings attached.... no wonder and of course Nat did the same thing for olivia... no wonder they eventually fell in love with each other..

I'm feeling rather sad and nostalgic this last week of GL. After coming back to revisit the beginning of a beautiful love story, I,m thinkin' Frank could sense the inevitable between Olivia and Natalia. Maybe that's why he was so antagonistic toward Olivia and so stupidly willing to badmouth her to Natalia.

You have to also remember is that his mother Nadine wasn't around for him and Harley growing up so not seeing a "healthy" relationship with his parents. Also, to him love means Co-Dependency and he feels that as long as he does all of those things for Natalia, she'll grow to "Love" him and of course it's not going to happen.
