Long drive should be CTP. If you're throwing on a hole where theres a cliff behind you, you shouldn't be rewarded for throwing backwards off the cliff. Best negotiation is probably long drive but must be in fairway.

There is a difference though. You can have the longest drive but still be farther away from the basket than another person, depending on the layout and lie.

@@sethbogart2906 Yes there is a difference in the technicality of the words being used but for logical reasons you shouldn't use the range finder back to the tee considering the example I provided above. He could clarify closer to the pin on big par 4s as the challenge, to clear up the confusion. But ranging back to the pad doesn't make sense cause it could reward bad/ impractical shots.

@@sethbogart2906 It came up during the Jonesboro Skins Match because Luke had called it "Long Drive", but then when measuring, he was measuring to the basket, making it a "CTP". In that situation, Kevin had actually thrown a longer drive, it was just off the fairway, but Luke Samson was closer to the tee. Hence why Kevin immediately called out Luke when he said Long Drive.
