Bellissimo il duetto d'amore finale del primo atto già nella notte densa quando di notte otello e desdemona si incontrano bellissimo il corpo di Otello scolpito spettacolarmente è bellissimo anche il costume di desdemona

Il baritono Gunther Enoch ha una bellissima voce, da vero baritono, un timbro molto, molto bello. Mi ricorda Leonard Warren e Cornell McNeil, due autentici fuoriclasse. A mio parere, se studiasse un po' meglio la dizione italiana potrebbe davvero diventare uno dei pochi baritoni verdiani autentici nel mondo dell'Opera attuale. Il tenore Noah Stewart sembra molto giovane, e anche se al momento la voce sembra sana, se continua a cantare in questo modo, e cioè forzando i suoni e cantando le note di passaggio aperte, si rovinerà la voce. Ed è un peccato, perché sarebbe un Otello molto credibile, oltre che vocalmente apprezzabile scenicamente molto pertinente. Purtroppo però apre troppo i suoni di passaggio, che risultano spesso forzati e sfocati, quando invece con dei semplici accorgimenti e un po' di studio, avrebbe degli acuti più squillanti e più pertinenti col repertorio lirico italiano. Perché ricordo che Otello è stato musicato da un italiano ( Giuseppe Verdi ) con libretto in italiano ( Arrigo Boito ) ed è ambientato - anche se nell'Opera di Verdi, a Cipro - a Venezia. Questi due interpreti a mio modo di vedere, possono dire molto riguardo quest'Opera, molto più degli altri interpreti. Vedo in loro due reali possibilità di diventare dei fuoriclasse. Auguro di trovare il tempo di mettere a posto alcune cose riguardo la tecnica, e poi potremo godere appieno delle loro splendide vocalità. Andrea Fasoli, tenore.

The untidy chorus work at the opening gives a misleading impression of the music to follow. Fortunately, this isn't a "chorus" opera (although the later chorus singing is much better), as there is much excellent singing to be heard in this production (although some of the string playing was a trifle rough). There are moments when the tenor, while having a rich and clear timbre, isn't always quite on pitch, something that may only be discernible to listeners with perfect pitch. One thing which did annoy me was with the video production where there were dissolves used at times - a no-no, as dissolves, even as brief as these were, intrude on the impact of the drama. However, it's something that would be noticed by few. In summation, a mainly rewarding production, of an opera that poses difficulties to even the very best of companies. Thank you.

Un otello da rispettare .tenore buona voce ma poco corposa .il baritono ottima voce ma un pò statico in parte artistica molto beneil soprano comq dopo aver santito Josè Cura come otello questo tenoreè un fenomeno

Vocally, Hunter Enoch is impressive. However impressive his Credo Enoch's interpretation is shallow. He is more interested in showing off his voice than he is involved in developing Iago's evil character.
