The Men i work with have no problem with legal foreigners or tourists. But they dont hold back when it comes to negative foreign elements who jack all the infrastructure for scrap, yes local folks do it too, and when caught it doesn’t end well. We are well aware of who comes here to sell little bags to the sons and daughters of the people. When our Grandparents applied for RDP houses decades ago and still dont have one but you see foreigners with 2 units it arouses anger. When you find factories full of illegal workers circumventing the law it arouses anger. When 40 million of our youth have permanent work and our own are housed, then we can talk . But so far as tourists who come in correctly and leave correctly, or skilled guys on work permits who do it correctly, ive never heard or seen any issues

SA is the most inclusive, peace-loving nation on the continent. It has 12 official languages including isiSwati, seSotho and Tswana. SA has a bigger population of speakers of the aforementioned languages residing in SA than the size of the population in their respective countries. Any form of xenophobia that take place in SA is of course regrettable. But how is SA accused of being obsessed with white people yet most of the African migrants go to the so called white countries as soon as they step out of the continent, to the point of risking their own lives.

We have been accomodating SADC people, even during apartheid that is why we had surnames within our communities that are specifical from those countries. Our tribal authorities assisted them to have proper documents and live amoung us piecefully. The problem started after 1994, when we first see illegal economic migrants. They do anything to get money. The other harsh truth is that poverty is still high in South Africa. All South Africans (Blacks, Indians whites and Coloureds) needs the very same jobs and services that our neighbours are here for. Our government budget for a number of legal citizen for each service. Therefore an illegal foreigner automatical steal from SANS, when utilizing any of our public service.

You can't say South Africans are all xenophobic when it's specific people who performed those act.... and let's be honest.... it was triggered by something bad that happened which was committed by foreign nationals. The unfortunate part is that other people get caught in the crossfire. I lost an aftercare student (10 year old.... the most beautiful and respectful little girl, she bought and ate snacks from a shop owned by Pakistan or nationals similar to them, she complained of stomach ache, she was rushed to hospital, unfortunately she didn't make it. Around her passing there were many cases all over the place. It's painful.
