I'd give a limb for a slow, thoughtful, first person adventure-style game in a setting like this. Even one set in the Alien universe. I think there would be a lot of potential in a more slow-burn type of story in which you have to uncover what the company is up to down on sub-level 13, and why so many crew members have seemingly abandoned their posts in the past few months with little to no interest from brass or the Colonial Marshals.

Every year since I bought Alien Isolation in 2014, I replay it, from begining to end, at least once a year. It truly is an amazing experience, and is one of the few games that can completely abstract me from reality in a matter of minutes.

This is one of the horror games that actually succeeded at inducing genuine fear while i was playing it. It really is remarkable in the history of horror games (and video games in general) and has a special place in my memory. Damn, i also remember having a microsleep nightmare about an android trying to strangle me. Thanks for bringing back good reminiscences, this is satisfyingly nostalgic.

Very lovely taste to not put any music or original soundtrack in this footage, but instead letting the lonely, dark, deep space and the anguishing incessant beeping noises of the machinery do the work. Much in line with Ridley Scott’s aesthetics of the first movie

This is incredible! The game really is a masterpiece. Its the only game that scares me to play. Not even RE7 in VR scares me, but for some reason Alien Isolation really scares the shit out of me.

Great vibes in this one. I think 7:58 and 8:47 were my favourites. Something about the warm spots of light in otherwise dark rooms or corridors feels cozy, somehow. Even on an abandoned alien-infested space craft.

The best game I played in a while. 22 hours of an outstanding and thrilling experience. Never got so deeply involved in a game before I think. I was absolutely terrified of playing it, but that's what made it so exceptional. I then thought to myself that this game just completely surpassed the movies in my opinion, in terms of pure "horror". Instead of watching the fate of characters, you are playing the main protagonist and it's your task to keep her alive as nothing else will save you. Deeply immersed in this sensational layout of a brilliantly eerie space station where a perfect killer lurks in. As the first movie is a masterpiece, it does age as it is quite old and the technology was not advanced enough to really convey the dreary look of the alien. At least that is how I feel watching the movies after having played Isolation. In this 3D world it was done beautifully, the perfect organism was perfectly put in place. I look forward to having another experience like this in the future, in the alien universe or not, even though it will always have a special charm compared to mainstream horror settings. Yes I can't wait to play and feel such an amazing adventure again through an interactive experience, video game or not.

Really good stuff! It is weirdly reminiscent of Sleep Research Facility's Nostromo, which, as the title suggests, was inspired by the eerie sounds and the haunting ambience of the spaceship from Alien. :)

Andy If I may, if you want some spice on that kind of videos (if you're still into it), focus a little more on story telling with audio and images, camera travels and stuff based on environnement, it's more enjoyable to do (imo) - while keeping your personal touch, with quieter (less spooky I guess) way of picturing video games.
