I'll still be doing regular Other Places videos-this is just an attempt to get a more grounded, street level perspective on a videogame world, to experience it as the people who inhabit it might without the usual distractions of combat, quests, etc.

great idea, one of my favorite things in monster hunter world was going into expeditions and simply walking around the areas, observing the details and creatures, sometimes you could watch the predators hunting or fighting each other, i felt like a Nat Geo photographer lol

I find the jump cuts kind of distracting. I'd rather have a longer uninterrupted video. Good project :)

Your videos are so important in promoting meditation & reflection among game enthusiasts. Please keep up your hard work!

i almost wish there was just a brand of walking simulators dedicated to recreating historical locations as they were for you to wander around, no quests, or big dramatic fights, just strolls through these places where you could get a feel for day to day existence as most people would have experienced it.

i literally cant play the AC's previous to origins or odyssey because of the mechanics. I jsut want to have a walk
@ninjadodovideos5 жыл бұрын
Discovery Tour (combat-free mode in AC Origins, and being added to Odyssey as well) is more or less exactly that.

God this is totally me, i really, really wish same thing too

I reached that idea when we talk with Da Vinci on AC:brotherhood. that felt a lot of stuff to me because I'm a Da Vinci fan that enjoyed it's stories and works since my childhood. it was meaningful work with him in the game.

It will be possible soon I think with AI supported models that integrated game as an npc. You will start a conservation with aristo and platon in ancient greece when sitting in a marble stone.

I like that the developers made the architecture and statues colorful, as they would've been in real life. Today's remains appear colorless because they've been bleached and weathered for over a thousand years. But we have archaeological evidence that that was not always the case.

I really appreciate dropping the game music for this new style, it helps you focus more on the area you are traveling through. I'm gonna do the same thing in Odyssey for a few levels to get a different perspective. Really inspiring content, thank you!

I am on board with this idea too. I'm soundtrack enthusiast but in videos like this I'd prefer atmospheres over the music.

This is amazing. Might use this in my college Intro to Rhetoric course in the future for showing students what Ancient Athens more or less might've looked like. Thanks for uploading.

Super Eyepatch Wolf led me here. I really enjoy ur content and I'd like to make two suggestions: World of Warcraft, Suramar(city and countryside)/City of Boralus; as well as Sea of Thieves (there really gorgeous islands - especially in the West of the world)

I think I like this even better than the normal style. so much of a city is the way its navigated. It's also great for studying the sound design of the game. The one thing that struck me as odd in this is the one song that was in english, while everyone else was speaking greek

You could do L.A. Noire in this format. Since you had issues wrestling the camera away from the player character in that one.

Hey. Even if you record it in 1080p, it is still a good idea upload it in 4k so youtube doesnt wreck video quality that much.

You should do a video on Bloodborne, I think the spectacles and views in that game are on a far higher level than any of the Dark Souls games, sorry if you don't have a ps4, but if you do than i think it would make a great video, so please consider it.
