I recently discovered your channel, and now I'm binge watching the studio tours. Great job, and very nice people (and places obviously). Keep it up!

Josef U. Same!!! I love the studio tours like they do here and over on Produce Like a Pro as well. You can pick up a lot of cool tricks and tips, and even sometimes unconventional methodology applied to common gear!

Haha thanks Josef! Glad you like the channel and the studio tours! Hope to have more later this year! Thanks again and please subscribe! -Scott

Please do! Not sure if you do it just for the fun of doing it.. (I would) or you have any economic gains.. (don't imagine how) regardless, I love (we all love) your sincere down to earth interviews, questions and comments! you are doing something very special

Just tons of fun! No economic gains yet. Except from Patreon.com/OtherSongs! Glad you enjoy! Love to do them!

Hey, I really enjoyed this one man, I like your organic style and this guy was very funny and down to earth, the studio is super clean, well build and on the equipment side he got what he needs and he knows what his doing , nicely done. Congrats

Nice tour Scott. I just put an order in for 2 Latch Lake stands and it was great to actually see how small the base footprint is, thanks. Soyuz makes great mics as well. So, Eddie Kramer himself paid a visit, eh? That gives that studio some serious clout :)

Yah no kidding about Eddie, so cool! Those stands look incredible! A dream! Thanks again, Malcolm! -Scott

Loving these, but the audio is rough and the white balance on the cameras is way off. I know that's picky and perhaps I'm late to it and you've already amended these logistics but those small changes would go a long way! Thanks for the tours!

Great video. But when you are describing the space, could we see some footage of the building, rather than the two of you talking about it. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

Great tour! One suggestion is to add some more instruments into the equation because a well set up/maintained instrument (new or vintage) can be a complete game changer for a session. Even more than the gear!! However the space trumps all in my opinion. Thanks again for another episode.
@OtherRecordLabels6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for saying that Dave! Great advice, I've actually been trying to change up what we talk about. The next tour has some cool instruments that we focus on! Thanks again for watching and for the comment! Stay in touch! -Scott

One of our upcoming ones we talk about a wall of guitars! but I couldn't agree more, a proper instrument is as important as any other piece of gear =]

Sylvia Massy is amazing, I just found out about her a few months back 'show us your junk' or something like that on youtube. She has a vast collection of tools and pieces and what not to record, it's crazy.

Great video, but I could really use some B roll while you guys are talking I found myself fast forwarding. For instance as others have said B roll of amplifiers and guitar’s, close ups of various gear without you guys in a shot obviously. When you guys were talking about the pedals a slow pan across the contents of each shelf would’ve been nice. I agree with others about fixing your white balance, stabilizing the footage, but I really think what this video could’ve used was some editing. I think you actually could’ve cut it in half. I edit stuff for people every day and I find myself being pretty ruthless about finding the story arc with a beginning middle and end and anything that doesn’t move the story forward I get rid of. If I haven’t shot it it’s much easier to be objective and ruthless. I really liked the basic concept of your show and this episode was good lots of interesting stuff in there just had a few dead moments and could use some eye candy. Keep up the good work I’m really enjoying it!
