My friend (Steve Day) and I used to record these on our BetaMax VCRs, and when possible, edited out the ads live. Once in a while, we were stuck at work and rushed to my hous as soon as possible to see the current episode. As usual, when we got really invested in a show, it was canceled mid-season. I really miss the 1960s when almost every series filmed at least 24 episodes, and aired them all even if the show had been canceled. (Amazon & Netflix use a similar business model, but we couldn't bing-watch brand new series until after all original episodes had been aired..)

I've always had similar(ly nostalgia laden) feelings about _Spellbinder_ and _Thunderstone_ series, also _Sliders,_ heavily underrated in my opinion... and later, if to a smaller degree _seaQuest DSV,_ _Cleopatra 2525_ with its kitschy approach as well... and more recently developing similar feelings about newer ones as well, like _Primeval,_ and other, even more spacey or timey series... my go to formats _Odyssey 5,_ _4400,_ also _Sanctuary,_ _Warehouse 13..,_ etc. of course it goes without saying that series like _Farscape_ and _Firefly_ are essentially the all-acknowledged new classics...almost ubiquitous... maybe _The Expanse_ will acquire the same following with time.., or some of the other recent space-exploration-centered or based series... too bad Cloverfield and Valerian, Speed Racer and Ender's Game, didn't really capture people's imagination and attention as much as expected.., enough to start up a new era for the comeback of cult classic franchises and inspiring concepts/genres/themes.., even Aeon Flux, Alita: Battle Angel, Ghost in the Shell seem to have failed in the most crucial ways to retain cultural relevance, at least in the acknowledged awareness and continuance... ...still great works though

Best TV i've watched in 30 years. Great you left the commercials in. That Stephen king one Aged like fine blood.

Honestly huge credit to the person who posted those episodes. Shows like this are in danger of becoming lost media and if it was not for people like you, who recorded it back in the day and posted it on here, it might have very well ended up lost media.

Dude. Love it. I saw this air back in the day. I fought with my brothers and mom. For once, I got my way. Too bad it did not get legs. I thought it was good quality. Thank you actors for a great job.

Fantastic. I wish they would release this on DVD for real. The one I have is also taken from VHS tapes. Petition!

I remember watching this show as a kid. Scared the hell out of me when Smith, and then the rest of them, flew away in that sphere or bubble or whatever it was.

For some reason when I saw Mike in Breaking Bad I remembered he was in this show. I had been trying to find clips for a while.
