I've been using the MS70 (hacked) for the entirety of my other band's (Color Crush) EP we just finished putting out. Such a killer pedal. My only complaint is it can sound a tad bit metallic sometimes.
@berlinshoegazer3 жыл бұрын
I think so too. It's a little metallic sometimes. But still a great little helper.
@arthurpiccio79063 жыл бұрын
It helps to use a colored pedal like an EP booster or Mooer Yellow comp after at a subtle setting.

I've just listened to you guys and i must tell you guys that your vocals and tunes go pretty off tone now i can say that yeah even distorted vocals go dreamy lyrics which goes completely opaque but somehow those still sooth you and rain all the terrains but i think you guys should take a look back at your melodies

How do you like the reverse and gated reverbs of the Zoom multistomps compared to the Hardwire RV-7? Love that you’re posting often!! my favorite youtube channel has always great stuff to show off. Great job Kenneth Shields (;
@berlinshoegazer3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I'm not a Shields and will never be one. :) Inspiring guy though. The reverse and gated reverb are a little thinner and sound a bit more "metallic" compared to my RV7 but I think in front of distortion they work really good! And they are still the best sounding / affordable alternative in my ears.

Whilst the default setups are different, the latest firmware makes most of the effects interchangeable between these three, but the 70 CDR has more memory for patches and concurrent effects.

Hi!!! one question. For your taste, how it sound for you putting a distortion, overdrive, fuzz, any kind pedal that u like before ms-70cdr??? sounds good or... I don't know, a distortion pedal then the ms-70cdr with a BIG reverb for a shoegaze tone, sounds good? I ask you this cause u know, the zoom pedal is a digital one so...
@berlinshoegazer2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Digital does not mean that the sound of the fuzz (or any other pedal) will sound bad after you send it through the pedal or anything. Digital sound is often more accurate and clean than analog and offers more sound possibilities on tinier devices. But the clean thing is what some people do not like so much compared the the character of analog gear. I personall love analog distortion combined with digital modulation and reverbs the most. So if you run distortion through that pedal and put on delay or any long reverb, it sounds really good imo.

Can you test something please? I'm can't play my MS50g now but I'm trying to find something like the Boss HM2 on the MS50g and I saw this: [ --- BOSS HM-2 (chainsaw) --- ]* OverDrive: Gain: 100; Tone: 80; Lvl: 100 ParaEQ: Freq 1: 80hz; Q1: 0.5; Gain1: 10; Freq 2: 250hz; Q2: 4; Gain2: 0; lvl: 150 ParaEQ: Freq 1: 1Khz; Q1: 2; Gain1: 9; Freq 2: 250hz; Q2: .5; Gain2: -12; Lvl: 150 St Gt GEQ: 2, -8, 3, -4, 0, 0, 100 ... Can you test and show it it for us please? I see that the Hm2 works better before a slight or crunch sounds, so maybe the level on the "Overdrive" can be 0 ... also you can test with the DIST 1 that is based on the DS1 and the DS1 cranked before a crunch sound can sound like a Swedish Death Metal or the Squeak one and the 7 band EQ that we can use with the hack. Thanks! Hope this can be sufficient interesting for you.
