Damn it. What a talent! Redding possessed of such a marvellous voice, besides of having skills like strength and quickness as well. A genius. An outstanding loss. Lots of love for everyone.

I still remember the first time I heard this on the radio nearly 50 years ago. We'd all heard 'Dock of the Bay' but this performance was in another galaxy. Tragic we lost such a great talent, and by all accounts an even better man so soon after this appearance at Monterrey. RIP Otis.

The late great legendary Otis Redding was one of the biggest stars at Monterey without question. This performance is STUNNING and I am so grateful it has been captured on film for posterity. The only thing is I with that they filmmakers had focused more on Otis and his band and not so much on all of those random crowd scenes! :/

Brilliant! I'll bet Otis was the only guy in a suit at Monterey but with a voice like that, who cares?

Yes, the song is magnificent, but the visuals are APPALLING ... and completely misinterpret and misrepresent the meaning of the lyrics (until Otis returns). I am voting it down.
