Riding the very nice scenic traction elevators at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. These elevators are very nice and have been featured in Otis promotional materials throughout the years.

Thank you VERY MUCH for posting this video. I was on one or more of these during an IEEE convention in the Fall of 1999. At that time, I was able to go all the way to the Polaris. The only thing I saw up there was a luxurious bar. I looked out and around up there, but didn't stick around for long. This bar was probably a MONEY EATER! From John Nozum

There is a interview with Jim Morrison of The Doors by Howard Smith and in the interview Jim talks about this hotel and how a women jumped from the top floor and landed in the atrium restaurant below.

From 1:24, on the side your facing at the end of the hallway you can see some black doors. those are the service elevators.

Those elevators got renovated from "BL", "EL", & " ML" to LL1-LL3 at Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, GA.

In 2011 the floors got relabeled and the lanterns got replaced except for floor 24

I think this elevator speeds up to 800-1000FPM since the elevator passes 1.65 floors per second with 10' ceiling height slab to slab.
