Takes me back to a spectacular, wonderful, adventurous, younger life growing up & travelling the world listening to awesome 60’s & 70’s music as it happened & being in the same era as these greats! We all get old but I am extremely very grateful to be growing old & having experienced live interactions with this lot! What an excellent montage of epic times.

low down When did you graduate H.S., ‘71? I’m guessing based off your stated age of 65 one year ago. 65 and Class of ‘72 here, you must have been one unlucky SOB, because by the end of ‘70 US troops were drawn down to well under 300,000 in the process of Nixon’s Vietnamization plan. We pulled the last Marine combat troops out of country by the end of April ‘71 and by the end of the year 1971, we were down to less than 158,000 troops remaining in Vietnam. Not many going that way by ‘71 and later. Hooyah

James close to ya brother, these young ones haven’t a clue the America we grew up in. We didn’t live Rock Star lives but we did get to hear the music never to be repeated. I spoke to a 25ish Black girl that works at a Racetrack Station one morning the songs they piped in off satellite are great,I asked her how she like Motown music?. She said she never heard of it!. I said girl you gotta be Kidding!,that song just played was by The Four Tops!. TO which she said Who’re they? I said you need to find your heritage gal.
