One of the greatest bands that you never heard of... But now that you're here, you know exactly what I mean. The young man absolutely shredding the guitar 🎸 is Taylor Scott. 👏👏👏 The lady on the violin is Ann Harris. 👏👏👏 Phenomenal group! 👍

There's many great moments to this vid - Taylor Scott's impassioned solo around the 2 minute mark, Annie's solo around 5 mins, the way they all move left to give her some room at about 6:30, the guy front row bottom left in the audience with the glasses (I'm with you). Some people must have walked into this bar-cum-venue (?) that night and chanced upon a great band working together.

When did Otis pick up that new lead guitarist? Damn, he's good. Anne Harris has been a great attraction to this band for a few years now. Of course, Otis glues the group together and is a great finger-pickin' guitarist himself, always in his old baseball cap and truck driver clothes. Quite a guy, and one I personally wouldn't want to have as an enemy if judging him by his looks alone! All in all a great presentation of the old standard 'Hey Joe'!

The truly great songs maybe should never be covered verbatim 'cause you'll always come up short... which is why Otis Taylor's many versions are so freely original - hey this one leaves out the "A" chord and is all the better for it!
@davidcarter27204 жыл бұрын
Just love this band's renditions of this classic that are out here on KZbin. I came here due to Otis's "Recapturing the Banjo" version ... which is my favorite all time version of the song. The solos are just amazing. Some day, would love to hear Taylor Scott step on the stage for a song or two with the Tedeschi Trucks Band ... his slideless slide guitar playing would surely blend well with that band's style.
