This is beyond amazing! thank you for doing this and showing that you can make soo soo many different colors with different combinations with such a limited pallet.

I was thinking , oh geez so much wasted paint as well, but I'm figuring for demonstration purposes, that is why she choose to do this. Also though, when making tints, you should always add your color to the white, you use a lot less paint that way to get the correct color, if you are adding the white to the colored paint, you might end up using tons of white until you achieve your color, which can waste paint. Start off only adding a little color to the white at first until you get your desired tint.

Interesting and informative video. Personally though I would never mix my expensive paints on paper. You lose so much paint in the proces! I prefer to use a old tin pencil case and squeeze out exactly enough paint I think I'm gonna need. I also like to use a travel palette with dried gouache. Lastly I find that Maura has a very nice voice and the video is of very high quality but I found myself falling asleep because she speaks so slow. If would talk with a more active and lively voice it would improve greatly. :) Anyway thumbs up!

S. F the palette paper is covered in a waxy substance (basically wax paper) so none of the paint is absorbed! I use it for mixing acrylics, but it works fine for gouache too :)

I'm sure they can afford it- they've probably passed the whole 'starving' part of the artist thing xD
