Saw Marty with Travis Tritt back in the 90's. Had no clue who he was. IMO- He stole the show. People actually started asking for an encore (Even after Travis- People were chanting Marty - Marty). Instantly a fan....However, I lost touch with music for a while. Took a chance on the Pilgrim in the late 90's (I think). Awesome_Liked that even better. Heck, I ain't even a country fan, and that is one of my favorite albums. Seen him twice since (Paul Martin bass, then Chris Scruggs). My assessment (For whatever it's worth)- One of the few acts that get better with time. Honestly those dudes can play/sing anything. Just dare em'

wholeheartedly agree!.. i ve seen them 3x. twice with Chris Stapleton. openers?.. debatable, i just say they came on first. up in Plymouth, NH 2 yrs ago i saw them again & i brought a telecaster pickguard with me & got marty to sign it. tried to get kenny's but he was headed, lol. not that there's anything wrong with straight country music but, if anybody watching thinks that these guys are "straight country", forget it. they, rock, swing, croon and roll.. dont believe me?.. they closed that show with the old '60s psychedelic song "psychotic reaction". if i had a mic, id drop it. great stuff, from great people, including you Otis. keep up the good work!

The Superlatives put on a show that features a classic, and sadly also a dying form of entertainment. Engaging, light-hearted, and fun. To top it all off, when you buy a ticket you are watching the best of the best play their instruments and sing. Top notch timing, great rhythm, and harmonies that will blow your mind. I encourage anyone who's never seen Mart & the Superlatives to buy a ticket and take the ride.

I got to play Clarence the day Marty got it. Went to see the Wright Brothers, who booked with Steve Pritchard at Eagle Productions, same as my band. Love it. The first time I went to Nashville was 8 or 9 years ago, and I was in Gruhn's Guitars, and I saw this customer walk up to two guys and tell them that he saw them the other night and really liked them, blah blah and they seemed very nice and had a chat with him. Had no clue who they were, so I went about my browsing, and as I was leaving, I bought something and I asked the guy at the counter who they were, and he said "That's Kenny Vaughan and Chris Scruggs, theyre in Marty Stuart's band". I remember thinking "oh isn't that some new country guy from the '90s" and forgot about it, but after a couple of years of seeing these guys on KZbin and listening to their albums, I'm such a massive fan and when I see a bunch of new interviews, I instantly watch the entire things.
