Obviously some people don't understand the reason to do this at the earliest age possible is because the ear cartilage is much softer and very prone to deformation. As the toddler gets older the cartilage hardens to a point where later in life surgery is the only way to correct it permanently. Now as a parent of 4 daughters I feel its best to fix this earlier in life than when the child start school where other kids will and do make fun of them.
