I think people have to remember they were all super young, and how ikika went about it wasn’t right, but he was lucky he had an actual lawyer who looked out for him because the rest of the guys got screwed bad.

I agree with the lawyer part, but the work ethic part still didn't make sense. They all had their lawyers looking over it, he wasn't the only one. In the mean time they continue to work. You dont just stop working bc your lawyer it looking something over or because "We should have been chosen." I dont think music was for him, which is fine.

You guys gotta understand why they were upset with Ikika (I know misspelled) he left without giving them a reason, he wasn't giving it 100% and while everyone was working their asses off he was home not practicing. So they think its unfair. It's not the best situation, but it's justifiable.

Even now I still can't stand ikaika you either be a doctor or a pop star you can't be both plus I think his family was really pushing him and they were being pretty ignorant about the level of commitment this band was going to require him coming and going was so selfish

+gotothelight that's what I thought, if you're always thinking of home and not 100% committed then it's never going to work. Ikaika leaving creates drama in the show but I knew as well it wasn't going to work out. He just didn't have the heart in it the other guys had, but also being from Hawaii its a completely different culture there.

greenkitty82 he even said early on the show that if he was asked to choose between the group and his girlfriend, he would choose his gf. that's a red flag right there that it was never going to work because this required a lot of sacrifices he wasn't willing to make

how is Jacob the entitled one when he's been there putting in the work? he is expressing legitimate concerns. Ikaika was never committed to the group the way everyone else was. he said he would choose to go back home to his gf if given an ultimatum, he stated that his goal was to be in the group for "1 or 2 years" to make money for college. this was never a career goal for him. i wouldn't want to be trying to build a career in a group with a guy that doesn't think of it as a career either. he shouldn't have even made the cut to 25 considering he flat out refused to even try dancing at his audition. skipping out on part of an audition is usually a surefire way to not get a callback.

They aren't being mean at all. He wasn't committed to the band, he never was. He even said that if he had to choose between the band and his girlfriend he'd choose his girlfriend, that was a huge red flag. The other boys were putting everything into that band and Ikaika never did that, they worked their asses off, they were away from their family and friends, and Ikaika never did that. He never worked as hard as the rest of them did, and even I realized it watching the show at 11. He wasn't even there most of the time. It sucked that he was picked into the 5 because he didn't deserve it.

Jennagt ikaika was the best, the other guys didn't understand him and they were jealous, especially Jacob.
