My gf is pregnant and she soon needs a place, but she does not want me to leave her alone at home, so I started considering getting a tanker, and hazmat and do what you do. The only thing is all my trucking experience is flatbed. BTW I appreciate you sharing this to us.

Hey, thanks so much for the info. Looking to go water hauling in ND for Nabors. Have class A with tanker and drive tandem dump and water trucks daily, but only some tractor trailer experience, about a year. Drove for CR England in early 90's, family was young and couldnt stay out there. I am pretty sure they are going to give me a call. You seem like a great guy and somebody I would like to have a beer with, and you have some great treasures at home, totally understand no more OTR! Take care.

I just started hauling SW about a week ago, down here in the EagleFord... Grossed over 1G my first week....yeah, it is pretty easy, too!!! Oh, and our disposal, Red Wolf, they do EVERYTHING!!! Pull up to a concrete apron, THEY ground off, hook up their own 4" hose, all I have to do is turn the pump on... Then, when I'm in the shack, (A/C) filling out my paper work, they offer a complimentary beverage, and a scratch-off lottery ticket... If I unload around noon, lunch, too!! JDM

Me and my buddy are doing our CDL A with tanker and hazmat and were about a week out from finishing and a lot of the gas and oil companies for whatever reason are coming in trying to recruit its good money my uncle does it hes home and he did otr for years you should give it a shot if they really go after Marcellus shale deposit there is gonna be nice money to be made.

To Beat House, if you get overtime 16 dollars an hour is good living if you are in Tx. I used to work local 13 bucks am hour driving flatbed, plenty od ot and took home mostly over a thousand a week.

I just got my CDL too and I just started a job with the same kind of company he is talking about. You do need a tanker endorsement though.

Not only water hauling but once you get 1 to 2 years of experience oil hauling is really good to get into a lot of your bigger company look for drivers with at least 2 years tanker experience I made over 80,000 1st year working for high Sierra I now work for Enbridge ELTM there are a lot of good company out here to look into do your homework

that wasn't even the worst,one time i was pulling in the the ttt in Arizona. and i olny pulled in cause i needed to shit,i was sweaty from the fight,i pulled in to the fuel island got out and did the penguin walk for like 2 3 steps,and it happened, and i was in shorts, and shit gushed dowb my legs,like it was alot, dripping on the concert. omg.so i went in my truck got some close and headed to the fuel desk for a shower,leaving a trail like a wonded animal. finally made it to the shower were i fell over taking my shorts off big ol shit print on the floor,some crap prints on the sink were i pulled my salf up.looked likea murder seen. never been back. i left a tip but it was shity to.

thinking about trying the water hauling. decided to do a little youtubing to see what folks had to say. you did a fine job. I was wondering about your living accomodations. Is that some sort of modular away from home shack your company provides? I live in Montana and I have a feeling the outfits hiring are about 600 miles from me, and I hear housing is a problem. Coning is a rate-sensitive phenomenon generally associated with high producing rates. Strictly a near-wellbore phenomenon, it only develops once the pressure forces drawing fluids toward the wellbore overcome the natural buoyancy forces that segregate gas and water from oil. Bottomwater can be pulled into a well by excessive producing rates: this may occur in either an oil or gas well. This problem is called "coning" and is indicated by increasing water oil ratio as flow rates are increased. Thanks for the insight. Thinking of heading out to Texas and trying my hand at water/oil hauling. I've been driving long haul for 11 years now, over a million accident free miles. Is it still worth taking the plunge?? My ultimate goal is to make as much money as humanly possible over the next 8-10 years, buy a sailboat, and retire at 58 in some tropical place on said sailboat. My question is do you think I should pursue water hauling? At the moment I get 42 cents per mile, 40 dollars for tarp. This time of year flatbed is busy, and my take he is usually over a thousand. Should I start water hauling on slow season or doing it asap maybe is more better?

OTR you get to were what you want most of the time... but local stuff be preparid to were a uniform or "costume" lol or in the oilfield be perpaird to were FRC's..Fire Retardant Clothing... FYI..
