Jimmy Stewart was such a talent! all of the older actors had such unique voices as opposed to those today who are a dime a dozen. thanks for the uploads; we're binge watching today! ; )~

I listen to so many of these, Stewart is such a damn pro. This is really acting. He is so believable and does not have the aid of using his face or body yet EVERY emotion he completely delivers. This is some of the finest voice acting ever recorded.

@@OTRHALLOWEENHOLIDAZE There is another performance of this with Jimmy Stewart. It's just a touch different and a little more clear.

And to think, when JS came back from WW2 and began making "It's a Wonderful Life" he had doubts on whether he could still act. ?Barrymore told him to stop being rediculous and just "hit his mark."

Someone could make a bundle of money making use of the better actors of today with well-written stories, all ON THE RADIO (satellite radio?)!!!

GOOD IDEA! Doing a radio play must be dirt cheap. All you need is an appealing script, capable actors, a sound studio, and basic broadcast equipment. I think it would be an IDEAL venue for talented young performers. Yes big names draw a bigger audience, but good STORIES could be a wonderful attraction. Most TV is such vulgar tasteless garbage. A REVIVAL of RADIO DRAMA without the sickening dominance of the PROFIT MOTIVE might produce a genuine REVOLUTION. If I were a billionaire I'd pay for it, myself.

@@francoaragosta4285 Without the profit motive? 🤣 I’m guessing you live in America, without the profit motive is not gonna happen! The US out of all developed nations is worst for unregulated capitalism.

Does anyone know who played Gwen? The only cast members I can find are Jimmy Stewart and Cathy Lewis as Jo. Gwen had a great voice.

I found the Jimmy Stewart drama disappointing. Why didn’t he just pretend that he was the one that died in the first fire. All that trouble for nothing!
