I have 6 kids. So this will be a tax on large families. I told the city this at their public consultations so I’m sure they considered and thought hard about how to make this fair.

That's a great point, how to deal with larger families. They now have only four months to come up with an equitable solution. From what I've read to date, you will be out of luck.

We have 5. This is absolutely unfair and takes money out of kids, the future of Canada.. I am sure some ppl will start damping garbage everywhere..

don't worry it wont be enforced for long, all residents of Ottawa are very lucky cause you all throw away what ever you want how much you want and complain if it isn't picked up.

From 6 items to 3 items.. what’s next? 3 to 1 item? A yellow bag is $4 broad daylight robbery. Property tax keeps increasing but we get less services.
