You probably said the same thing about Dorion when he arrived. Don't give these guys your blind faith. They need to earn it. And Steve aint starting off so well getting fleeced on the Senko deal. He better nail the draft and FA and prove he is a legit GM and not just hired on as the new bosses buddy or we will be doing another GM and head coaching search in three years and starting all over again.

Wait until the conference finals or Finals to see who's available. I would have liked another veteran cup winning hockey ops guy like Ray Shero as the President of the Hockey Operations. Similar to what Vegas did. Grab some of the bottom six guys from these playoff teams and a couple Marc Methots and Volchenkovs. They can be righties or lefties we just need some truculence on the back end. We need some pace up front. We should try to mimic the Kelly-Vermette-Neil line. Move Chabot & Brannstrom. Draft a D. And sign Stolarz.

I like his patience, I like what he says, he is sharp, so far I just hope he is precision when the time comes. One hit on him is he moved to slow on Dj firing, and the dorion thing from Andlauer, that concerns me because I really think they would have made the playoffs if they moved faster.

He said in a presser/interview earlier on he was going to fire DJ before the Sweden trip, but they won both those games so he waited. He said looking back he should of made the move before Sweden.

I think he made a major mistake not bringing Patrick Roy into be the head coach instead or Martin. Wasted the year under Martin. Now new coach will have to come in, install a new system and we will waste another year. And it annoys me is he did so to most likely bring in another of their buddies from the AHL. This team needs a hard nosed NHL pedigreed coach to get these underachieving, millennial bums playing like they should be.

Been a Sens forever. Don’t like the wishy wishy responses.This team has a ton of issues brought on by the last administration. 4 legit NHL defence man, poor goaltending, lack of team speed and physicality and a no commitment to 2 way play from the core players Stutzle, Tkachuk etc

This not the time to bring in a rookie coach, you need an experienced coach. Preferably some one who has won or been part of a winning coaching team.

Bednar and cooper were both rookie coaches when they were brought in and both won cups. Only one coach in the modern era had managed to win Stanley cups with different franchises. Probably should focus more on finding the right coach for this group vs any coach who has “experience” all that means usually is the coach has managed to screw up badly enough to get fired

@@carbb5760 the first day a coach in pro sports is hired is the first day towards him/her being fired. Kind of part of it. Easier to replace 1 person and change the message than to replace 25 players

Should have hired Roy when we had the chance. Exactly what these underachieving millennials need. A swift kick in the shorts! Enough coddling these kids already, time for a tough love coach! But I can already tell from Andlauriers short track record that another buddy is gonna be brought in with Gruden. Great another non NHL coaching experienced coach. Cause that has worked so well in the past....I'm all for bringing in people you know, but they MUST be the most qualified people to do the job, and I for one dont even think that Staios is that guy! He better prove me wrong but he has zero NHL GM experience and that is worrying! So I highly doubt our head coach will be experienced either. This is what you get with a first time owner. There will be many bumps in the road the first few years Im fearing....
