Wow, I'm glad you said something. In my state non indigenous (like the Asian small clawed otter) are allowed. I've got a question into some otter experts on the feasibility of an otter visiting therapy animal. Mainly for disabled, elderly and kids. And the other reason I'm glad you mentioned the therapy alligator is that it would be much easier to convince my Veterans Administration doctor to sign off on it. Besides, they are far cuter and softer than most alligators. Heck I'd even bet they're cuter and more fun than most crocodiles as well. High maintenance but since I'm a paraplegic and home almost all the time, due to some complications, I would have the time to put into it. In the USAF I was military working dog handler / trainer where I spent most of years working with problem dogs. Hopefully that will prepare me for the classes I'd need to work with one. Thanks again!
