Komugi is such a gentle friendly otter🦦, maybe Odashi was tired & both were a little unfamiliar with each other when they were both going for the same piece of food. Odashi got angry & snapped at Komugi. I hope they are still good friends. They did seemed to be happy to see each other.

Otters have good memories, so "unfamiliar" doesn't figure into it. Odashi is known to be moody and didn't react well when Komugi took that piece of kibble from her stash. I too hope they didn't break up over this 🥺

For river otters to, um, copulate, their heat/rut cycles need to sync up AND they need somewhere to swim (they give birth on land but conceive in the water)
