Richard you should forget about new tractors and put in a new milking parlour instead , it would make your life so much easier , that lady milking is a hard worker starting at 4 am 😱 , Great video Richard .

Very interesting video Richard. Seeing that milking parlour takes me back when I worked on a yeo valley farm. When I saw the set up they had I was really taken back and overwhelmed and didn't think I could help milk 300 dairy cows. But once I got in to the swing of things it all became second nature.

That's a hell of a parlour, 8 a side herringbone is the biggest I milked in, great set up though

I recon everyone should buy milk straight from the farm/farmer. There's nothing better than, as you've said, cream on your cornflakes

I like the idea of those vending machines......... if your in the right location ie next to busy road or edge of village, its a good way of earning a decent price for what you produce......... maybe its something you guys could think about doing. dont forget your keen on the milk from grazed grass system and that is what the majority of the general public like to see, so why not cash in on it

So the roadside station is probably just a drop in the bucket for them, with their size...but it's good advertising and a nice thing to offer the community. Interesting stuff, thanks for posting it.

There milking 600, your milking 60 odd, stick to with what you got Richard and not be intimidated with big dairy farming, it told you in the beginning of the video the difference between big and small with the way the children of the big farm reacted when you asked then if they help, look at what your lads do on your farm compared, you run your farm rather than the farm runs you, keep it up!
@philipthompson16742 жыл бұрын
Actually the difference isn't 540 cows, the difference is Richards kids live on the farm their father and uncle own, that may well be there's if they want. The kids on the farm in the video are in their parents place of employment, a business that must meet entirely different health and Safety laws and employment laws.

@@philipthompson1674 that’s what l was trying to get across, you just can’t beat family farms especially for children, Richards lads can moach about all day long unattended.
