You learn some fancy tricks quick when you get leg injuries. When I sprained my ankle in middle school I figured out how to effectively run with my crunches. Just took big strides with the crunches and did a double hop on my good leg and I ZOOMED. Got so fast that it convinced some teachers that I wasn't even hurt anymore. I also have a friend who is legit wheel chair bound for life and he learned very young that he can do donuts with his electric chair donut marks and all.
