Soileater-One Take Wednesday, Episode 10: In this video Dan goes over how to install a Soileater Belt Mounted Tourniquet Holder Version 2.
The Soileater Belt Mounted Tourniquet Holder V2 or BMTH V2 was re-designed for the modern professional. The BMTH V2 utilizes wasted space on your combat belt, allowing you to carry a CAT or SOFTT-W tourniquet with the new addition of a marker, decompression needle or chemlight holder. The BMTH V2 also adds more velcro real-estate to your belt, which will add to the reliability of this 2-belt system (outer / under belt). The BMTH V2 is a simple design that keeps your tourniquet within reach of both hands without any additional steps or wasted movements (Not having to remove snaps/velcro/buttons) in a high stress situation. Simply pull the tourniquet towards your centerline to remove it with either hand.

i have a question, why everyone installed their tourniquet pouch next to their holster?

I designed the original BMTH to go there because it was generally wasted space in SWAT belts. It was usually the area where the extra belt strap would go, because it’s the side you use to tighten the belt usually, and it also meant you lost some Velcro surface area on the back of the belt. So the BMTH added Velcro retention to your belt while also utilizing that otherwise wasted space to hold a TQ. Also it’s close to centerline of your body allowing you to draw the TQ with both hands. Hope that makes sense.
