We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid put a stop to it.
The day has finally come we have sold our business and packed everything we own into storage, rented our house to explore as much of the world as we can in one year.

9 hours on that seal road is still better than my travel the same route 22 years ago. It took me nearly 18 hours on the dirt road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. My car was broken down in the middle of the road during the night. But it was fun anyway. Enjoy your trip in Cambodia and looking forward to the next episodes.

Still pretty crazy in 2022 they need to get some public transport. Cambodia is the only country I’ve been to where everything is private companies. That charge different people different prices depending on where they come from. Gets abit boring

You should go to the bus station and buy the tickets , if you buy the tickets on the road like that you can get the bad bus or pay much money .

Guys I dont recommend taking that kind of ride because the bus is old and the driver is careless diving the bus or car. I would recommend takiing Mekong Express much affordable safer and the bus/car are more modern. so horrible to see .

When I go out from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap i alway check this bus old or New, comfortable or not comfortabl, I spent 25$ - 30$, if your choice old car with cheap price some time alway meet problems, Good choice check the new bus.

I wonder if I would not have as many issues if I was adopted from Thailand myself and looked much like the Khmer guys so I could avoid the scams. Heard they try to charge westerners triple than those of the locals in Thailand and am surprised it is catching on in Cambodia as well.

I'm in Cambodia now, have been for 2 weeks and every single person bar 1 or 2 that has got off the tour buses and arrived at our hotel said they have regretted it, think that's saying something. It's not like a car or van is expensive anyway.

You go somewhere you have to other from pass App or grab Application or hotel service for good price and right. If you eat you have to other from shop or restaurant I guarantee it's not expensive than other countries but if you go some normal place for expect good price sometimes you are wrong

Vip bus only 6$ or 5 $ other Tuktuk ride from pass App you wait only short time and they can't ask you more money if you don't agree to cancel before arrive my husband did that to no one can cheat on you

It is always best to get your Guest House where you stayed the night before to buy and organize the Bus Ticket for you wherever you are going in Cambodia and the Bus Company will come and pick you up at your Guest House and take you to the Bus... Make life easy and simple for yourself while traveling in Cambodia or anywhere in SE Asia and dont be walking along the Road with huge backpacks as you are setting yourself up as they can clearly see you have no idea what your doing or how to even get there... Also buy the ticket 48 hours in advance if possible but at least the day before you wish to travel. You two look like a perfect mark for a scam guy to hit you both up, with your huge bags and KL T-Shirt and tattoos.
