@OTWD_yt So I just checked, KZbin is blocked/banned in China and you need to use a VPN, which contradicts the law... is that what you're doing then? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_of_KZbin

@@OTWD_yt There's no denying that KZbin is blocked/ banned by the Chinese government, along with Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., which is why you need a VPN to access them...Why spread misinformation? It's a well known and documented thing. The Chinese government tightly controls and censors online and media activity. There's no freedom of the press or freedom of speech, and there's plenty of evidence of the Chinese government committing human rights abuses. The people of China are great, but their government is unfortunately despicable. Easy to miss this aspect when eating delicious Chinese food and getting along with normal people in day to day life. Just be aware that glossing over human rights abuses, like those against ethnic and religious minorities, is morally not great...I encourage you to do some reading. I say this with your best interests in mind. Wishing you well

One thing I don't see being mentioned, is that there is no daily commute for the 60k workers at the factory. The roads will be free to transport the finished goods to the ports. The savings on fuel and road maintenance must be huge on a national level. I cannot imagine this being replicated in a Western country.

You need to get used to electric bicycles. I'm used to it, so it's not a big problem for me. Yes, you just need to walk normally. The electric bicycle will judge your path and actively avoid you. If you actively avoid it, it will make the person driving the electric bicycle lose his prediction. Even if I walk on the sidewalk, I'm used to walking on the edge and leaving the middle road for electric bicycles to pass. This is also an adaptive habit. Some cities have separated pedestrians and electric bicycles, and will set up stone piers at the entrances and exits of the sidewalk to block electric bicycles from entering. The situation in each city is different. In addition, many cities have shared automatic vehicles for rent. If you have WeChat or Alipay, you can try to rent an electric bicycle. Electric bicycles do not require a driver's license. You can drive them when you are 16 years old or above, which will bring convenience to your city exploration.

I'm glad you went to the Shenzhen subway station, which is futuristic. The aluminum material used in the ceiling is similar to the style of the Singapore Airport, which is not surprising, because the decorative aluminum materials of the Singapore Airport are also produced in China. 17:21 - you were saying that the locals laugh at you when you say "thanks" (谢谢). It sounds similar to "shay shay" or a very curt "share share" to your ears, hence why you try to repeat it that way. However, if you want to say it, the closest phonetic way is "SEE-EH SEE-EH"... Try to say it slowly with 2 syllables. Then speed it up and combine into one sound while enunciating the 2 sounds. That's the closest I guess. Also, don't put your stress on SH part. X is not SH sound 😂You might be doing that cuz of Pinyin, where you saw it written as "XIE XIE" somewhere, and the western tendency is to equate X to an SH sound. X is more of a halfway sound between an S and an SH. In Chinese, there ARE words that are spelt with SH - like 松鼠 (Squirrel)... literally spelt SONG SHU in Pinyin and pronounced the same way with a Western tongue. 😂 If all else fail, your fallback is Reanne's way - "sey sey". Close enough I guess 🤣At least closer than the "share share". As for why the locals laugh... maybe they're just amused you're trying, but "not quite there" yet 🤣 (ps - watch YT video v=UaAenaqmYLM timestamp 8:37 on how to say it...maybe it's easier for you to hear and see a Westerner teaching it)

This is just one of the ordinary small and medium-sized enterprises in China. There are probably hundreds of thousands of factories of this size in China. In Guangdong Province alone, there are 130,000 enterprises engaged in manufacturing export trade. Guangdong Province is the province with the most manufacturing factories in China. Shenzhen, where you are, belongs to Guangdong Province. DJI drone factory, BYD electric car factory, Huawei R&D headquarters, etc. are all in Shenzhen。

I don't think it's leading. This kind of convenience is only suitable for quick acceptance. It is endless trouble for young people who do new things, but for older people. Transforming from cash transactions to the network in a short period of time。During the transaction, a huge gap has formed, which is inevitable. Children have a vague concept of money, thinking that as long as there are mobile phones, there are endless toys and snacks. However, the elderly can't use cash on many occasions, nor can they enjoy the benefits brought by online transactions. Maybe everyone here doesn't understand. When you get old and can't keep up with the times, you will feel endless trouble, and the roles will eventually be interchanged.
