the drink is call "姜茶",literarily means ginger tea(boiled water with ginger and brown sugar ). it's like a very traditional chinese drink, inspired from the traditional chinese medicine. Chinese older generation believe that ginger tea can warm your body up so most of time it was given when you get a cold or fever(or when easily geting a fever) .that's why it's sold in a rainy day help to prevent you catch a cold

The new camera has certainly proven its worth. You can see the impressive dynamic range between 12:00 and 12:10 - the details of the mountain in the shade are well-preserved, even with the bright blue sky in the background.

There are usually a lot of visitors to Zhangjiajie, but surprisingly there aren't as many people this time. It's probably due to the significant influence of weather and season. However, it must be said that visiting Zhangjiajie during this season provides a very different and unique scenery.

Hiring a tour guide at large tourist attractions usually provided at the entrance is best to avoid confusion and save energy. Although it may incur some expenses, of course, self-guided tours are more challenging, the place is as sound as zhang jar jay:)

That ginger tea, is pronounced 'Jiang Cha' = 'Jeeang char'. When asking for 2 of something, it's better to say 'Liang ge' =='Lee-ang ger'. Liang =2=er. When pointing at something you want, say 'zhe ge' = jerr geh.

maybe you already know by now but just in case here's some numbering tips 😀 2 or "er" as you been saying it is used for counting. when you want 2 of something, you actually say "liang" which means a pair. so instead of pointing to something and saying "er", say "liang ge" aka pair of those. it only is for 2 so a bit confusing but also easy once you know it doesn't affect other numbers.

The monkeys are cute but vicious, should have kept distance from them. I remember I was in another national park in China and they have got bigger size monkeys than Zhangjiajie. And we were told not to make contacts with the monkeys because safety issues, but a Karen in our tour group never learned, she tried to pet a big monkey with food on her hands, and then she screwed up, got scratches on her hands by that monkey and start bleeding, and everyone had smile on their faces and look at her, that was crack up.😂😂😂

Jiuzhaigou is a better choice than Zhangjiajie. There are the most beautiful plateau lakes in the world. In the 1980s, when China just opened up, the only scenic spots promoted to the world were Guilin and Jiuzhaigou. Later, Zhangjiajie replaced Jiuzhaigou.
