The Assimilation Challenge! - DAY 4 Livestream

The Assimilation Challenge requires us to "transform" into each of the 83 characters by finding them in-game! If I win a match, I can copy the loadout of ANY player in the lobby & transform into them for the next one. If I lose, the character being played is dead and I must transform back into one of my previously assimilated characters. Transforming into the same character 5 times grants 1 extra unlock on any character. The challenge is LOST if all my available characters die!
I can only "assimilate" and unlock one character at a time. Assimilated characters will have the exact same perks, items & cosmetics (if possible). Assimilating repeated characters 5 times grants 1 extra free unlock of ANY character (with an empty build). When assimilating a repeated character, we must copy at least one of their perks/items/add-ons into the existing build. Alive characters keep their builds and can be played again after a loss or repeated assimilation.

This challenge is so fun to watch during breaks and lunch and to see how quickly Otz can adapt to the situation and his versatility in killer and survivor constantly switching back and forth even when he loses the match there’s always something to learn from it and stays positive makes it so enjoyable to watch ❤!!!

I've been thinking what if Otz could only have the 5 most recent assimilations to fall back on, survivors dont "die" they get stored, with the lore being the Thing can only store so much info to use so quickly. Basically just dont lose 5 games in a row to keep the suspense, doesnt feel like so many lives, reassimilating a "stored" character would be more impactful to reintroduce them to the rotation (for example if Blight has a great build but is stored, and you finally get to use him again). Picking which to store for space of the new character being assimilated adds some decision making to the assimilation with being choosy, how many fun builds? how many killers vs survivors in back pocket? less keeping track of whos alive, just whos stored and whos on active rotation. number of lives easily adjustable for difficulty

I think it would be better if you changed the rules a bit. Every 3 repeats = opening new character and every 5 repeats = resurrects character from the dead. The goal is to make everyone alive and infected 😊

Normally watching otz is really relaxing (most of the video was) but that last pyramid game otz genuinely just felt like a grumpy old man angry at people that were just having a bit of fun and not taking the game seriously. It's always nice to see players that don't take everything serious and just have fun with some goofy perks (the constant screaming is a bit annoying tho) and it felt a bit buzzkill ish. I do get it though dbd is a game that can be infuriating as hell
