"There are still problems with the defense but....this is a difficult offense to defend against. We went down and beat them in Norman one year but it was difficult." - Urban Meyer on Fox post game show LOL. No mention of Baker going up the next year and planting a flag up his butt at the Shoe or anything. Going to be tough to watch Fox OU games (or any games really) with old Urban there. As always, Thanks. I can't beleive the asked Hurts on his 2nd throw to Rambo if he was the intended target. It was right to him. His response was "who caught it?" Defense looked great. The touchdown saving tackle from Turner-Yell, while not a game saver was a clear attitude changer. Past teams would have given up on the play. Same with Gallimore's effort forcing the turnover. No Quit !

I still see a lot of comments that our defense is just “average” or “mediocre” but I watch just about every major game every week and I’d say we look pretty damn good. It reminds me of the old Dallas Cowboys defenses that bend but don’t break. It’s also worth noting that Grinch has only had between 10 and 15 weeks to instill an entirely new mentality on the Defense. Give them another 5 weeks and they’ll be deadly
@ParabolH5 жыл бұрын
Thing is we haven’t played anyone with even a good offense yet. And yes they look improved and they’re playing the way they should against teams with sub par offenses. Well know where this team is at against Texas especially the defense. If we keep Texas under 30 while scoring 40+ then I think we can start getting excited
@shawnSTNCH5 жыл бұрын
ParabolH apparently anytime our team does well it’s either because the other defense was bad or the other offense was bad, never actually because our team is good. At least that’s the narrative that’s being spun these days. D’eriq King is a phenomenal quarterback. UCLA put up 60 points on Washington state. Holding a decent Texas tech team to one successful third down conversion is exceptional. We are holding our opponents to an average of 18.75 points per game which again is a very good number. Parnell Motley is currently rated by PFF as the nations most successful cornerback in terms of yards/cover snap. Give our boys credit where credit is do and don’t invalidate them because they haven’t played Bama or tOSU yet. Of course we won’t know the full depth of their talent until later in the season, but what they have accomplished so far has been incredible, especially with 2018’s defensive unit being what it was
@spencers5835 жыл бұрын
Personally I’ll be worried if Texas scores more than 25. I’ll be extremely happy if we keep Texas under that number.
@ncm-jl3nu5 жыл бұрын
@@shawnSTNCH agree, there seems to be a problem with the fair weather fans that cannot give credit for a job well done and improving weekly. Dallas will show something else. Records never mean much in that game as both teams are pumped. My guess is OU will be more pumped this year than last year, even though the playoff (replay) went to Sooners.

Time is short, Jesus is coming back soon! With all that is going on in the world this is not hard to see if you are watching. Read Matthew 24 and Luke 21 and 2 Timothy 3:1-7 and 2 Peter 3:3-7.Things are getting bad in the world and will get real bad. We are well on the way heads for the tribulation period. A period of time lasting seven years that we are told that never before has it ever been so bad nor will it ever be again. God loves us and is holding everything back, giving us time to repent and to get right with Him. But from the looks of things it doesn't look like we have much time left. The time to get right with the Lord is now! Today is the day for salvation. Receive Jesus and get raptured out of here and escape what all will be coming on the earth! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-58. Jesus said in Luke 21:34-36 And take heed, to yourselves, lest at ant time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting , and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man .Receive Jesus and then you will be accounted worthy! God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Receive Jesus and receive everlasting life! Jesus said in john 14:6 ... that He is the life, and the truth, and the life; no one can come unto the Father but through Him. Jesus is the key to salvation, Jesus is the key Who gets us into Heaven and keeps us out of hell. We find out in 1 John 5:11-12 This is the record that God has given to us eternal life and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life and he that has not the Son of God has not life. This is easy to understand! Jesus said in Revelation 21:6 ... It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of live freely. Then Jesus said in Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely. This offer goes out to all of us! Telling us to Come, take of the water of life freely. So Come, take of the water of life that God offers to us for free! Free for us but our redemption did not come free . Our redemption came at a high cost! Jesus died so we could live. Hebrews 2:9 says ...that he (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for every man. This is love to the max! All that Jesus did from the cross to the throne He did for us. Jesus did the work and we get the benefit of all that He did! This offer that God has made, the choice is up to you. Choose Jesus and choose life! Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved. Romans 10:9=13. Receive Jesus and receive redemption and eternal life and righteousness and more! Read Mark 14:3-9. Receive Jesus and then you will be ready for the return of the Lord! Whatever you do don't take the mark of the beast 666. Read Revelation 13-18. 30

OU vs Alabama for National Champion? Hurts would win cause Alabama doesn’t have the D to stop them.
@derrickwilliamson15224 жыл бұрын
Not once did you hear them say on that first touchdown jalen hurts to Rambo without trying to make it seem as though they are teaching him to throw the ball as though he needs help throwing passes like that . But people again dont be mindless puppet tape recorders judge games and QB'S ON YOUR OWN. All of this mediocre praise that they are throwing towards jalen hurts is nothing but them trying to save face from last year go back and watched the national championship game from last year when jalen hurts was playing with Alabama. for the longest time last year I was saying on youtube that the media was trying to destroy jalan hurts over one bad game he had last year and all of these racist assholes who would never talk the way they were talking on the internet to my face because they know I would've broken their jaw but they kept saying that wasn't true and I didn't know what I was talking about but at the end of the national championship game which they did win but only after nick sabian the media's partner in crime let jalen hurts throw the ball 3 times and pulled him at the beginning of the 2nd half for no reason at all! I've been a football fan since I was 7 years old and I'm 49 now and I've never seen that done to a QB over 1 bad game but the media asked Nick saban did he think it was wrong that they judged jalen hurts over 1 game and nick sabian the person who was supposed to be the one who stands up for jalen hurts didn't even answer the question and the reason he didnt answer the question is he didnt have a reason for pulling him he didnt have a reason why he only let jalen hurts throw the ball 3 times in the whole first half and the truth of the matter is if it weren't for jalen hurts after not playing for 2-3 games coming in and coming all the way back from a 3 touchdown deficit to take them to the national championship game! but did he make a fuss about it no but needless to say that's why jalen hurts is no longer with Alabama or their fake ass coach
