I have a friend who works in the Athletic Department and offices at the stadium and she shared an interesting story about Riley. When Bob was head coach he would often be the first person to arrive for practice and get out of his car and open the gate to park under the stadium. It wasn't a big deal, but he made sure to get there before everyone and to open the gate for others. The day Lincoln took over as head coach, he told some stadium staff to be there and have the door open for him when he comes in. That started a string of several small changes around the program that Riley put in that never really vibed with the Sooner way. Something small like opening a gate or helping students move into their dorm matters and those are things Riley would have never been caught dead doing. The further we are removed from Riley, the more we find out that we needed a change and Coach V fits the Oklahoma hardworking ethic. I can't wait for the spring game! Boomer

I was SUPER impressed by seeing the staff helping the players with moving in. Maybe I'm a sucker but that was one of the best things I've seen and I'm super pleased with it. People have different visions of leadership. A GREAT leader isn't the #1 bully, bossing and intimidating everyone for his own gain , he/she is really lead servant. I believe the playoffs should be expanding to 16 teams. All ten conferences winners should receive an automatic bid. The six at-large teams should come from the six remaining highest ranked teams. The first round games should be on campus of teams seeded 1-8. The quarterfinal round should be held at a bowl sites closest to the top 4 seeded teams. For example this year those sites could have been the Birmingham Bowl, Quicken Bowl, Music City Bowl, and the Gator Bowl. The New Year's six bowl game would remain as it. Rotate the two games for the semifinal games. And then fill the remaining four games with highest ranked teams that didn't make the playoffs.

Playoff expansion is a bad idea end result won't change look at north dakota still winning 9 times in 13 years with 24 team playoff. Will lead to more domination by the same teams. Will have more sec teams and Alabama or Ohio State now get into the playoff even in a year with 2-3 losses and can win the playoff. Also devalues the regular season michigan osu wouldn't have mattered this year since both are in the playoff.

When it comes to recruiting I think Riley and his staff are probably painting a picture to these recruits that might be a bit exaggerated so if things to workout even close to what he is selling it might have long term negative affects. I think he is a little desperate because of the choices he has made so it would be safe to say Riley is all in. So if things don't workout what shady things will he do then. We will all be waiting.

The NFL officiating was really bad this year. With all of the technology available to us these days and with all of the smart minds in the game we shouldn't have all of these mistakes. Maybe something like a ref in the sky that calls down to the field and tells them where they screwed up an fix it on the spot. There have been plenty of holding calls that weren't holding and plenty of holding calls that are missed. Let's fix this and play the game with integrity. Also, 10yrds for holding is DUMB! A 5yrd penalty from the spot of the foul seems way more inline with what is realistic.

@@OK_Breakdown Again, please take what I think with all humility intended -- I do not hold myself out to be anything resembling a knowledgeable authority on this subject, these are my layman's (get it?) opinions.... I'll try to address my thoughts chronologically, but I very much acknowledge that I'm a keyboard warrior, so feel free to shoot me down. 1) No, Caleb was not a perfect quarterback, but I don't think college football has seen a "perfect" quarterback since possibly Joe Burrow. Caleb might be the closest thing the game has seen since him. 2) Yes, I can see Farook leaving. 3) (My other alma mater is Tulane, so yeah, you're right: beating LSU on this cat was big. But I'm biased.) 4) I don't know if the 13 look will work with so much youth, despite how good Lebby is. 5) Generally, I'm just skeptical that all of these young guys will pan out, and I say that just based upon history. I think maybe two-to-four will actually be real contributors in three years. 6) I think that NIL *can* be regulated, but I agree that it won't be done by the NCAA, which is pretty much useless nowadays. NIL needs to be regulated, though, to have a level playing field, and someone with authority will make it happen, probably at a legal level. Heck, it got done with baseball. 7) Of course the more games that are played, the more player injuries will happen. To say otherwise is just ludicrous, I think. 8) (Totally agree: I really dislike the Cowboys, too. But I'm a Saints fan, and we didn't even make the playoffs.) I really appreciate you guys. I probably should have kept my mouth shut, on second listen I agreed more. Boomer Sooner, and I look forward to listening to your next one.
