I absolutely love ouai and I have fine hair and sensitive scalp works beyond great bc it doesn’t weight my hair at all makes it fluffy and hydrated

I have very tangle prone hair that has a mixture of different textures and thicknesses, and the medium shampoo/conditioner are the best I have ever used. I kind of wonder what people with straight hair are really looking for with shampoo/conditioner lol. The shampoo makes my hair feel clean but not stripped, and the conditioner consistently helps me detangle. I will definitely agree on the super strong scents though! I love fragrance but it is a LOT

I tried lots of their styling products and oils when I was working in film. Wasn't a fan of their oils either sadly. And yes, SO perfumy! I'm not super sensitive to fragrance but wow theirs is strong. my favourite was the wave spray but specifically for film effects. If used more heavily it gave a wet type look with hold and encouraging natural curl/wave. Thanks for this full review!

Agree about the scent in the shampoo and conditioner. They should've gone with the scent that they put in their detox shampoo, melrose place, in all of their shampoos! That one smells universally wonderful. I've tried both their fine and thick shampoo, and I found both to do a great job in their category. Not to mention the nifty and good-looking packaging! The thick felt very moisturizing and defrizzing, a bit too heavy for me. While the one for fine hair gave lots of airy volume and shine, but a bit too light for me. I probably should've gone with the medium. 😅 I only had a small sample of their oil, and I personally liked it and the scent. But I agree that it didn't feel overly special for the price point. Haven't yet tested Kerastase hair oil, so can't give a second opinion there. Also tried the fine to medium hair mask (did nothing for my hair), air dry foam and leave-in conditioner. Now the leave-in was sort of a love/hate. Alone it dried out my hair and made it feel more fragile. But paired with the air dry foam it worked wonderfully 🤷🏻‍♀Out of all of the products I've tried though, I must say that the air dry foam and their body wash is a definitive must-try! The detox shampoo does its job and smells wonderful without coming off too strong like the other ones. But it's not a wow-product per say, it's just the best smelling and gorgous-looking detox shampoo on the market right now. 😄

I use the leave in and wave spray as my easy everyday routine and it works great and smells amazing, North Bondi is my favourite scent from the line and my fiancé loves the smell too, he literally sticks his nose in my hair after every wash

I got the dandruff shampoo and it works great I plan to use that once a week and I just started the scalp serum but no idea how it will work yet.

I also used the Quai dandruff shampoo...not for dandruff but because my scalp with breaking out and a bit oily. While doing research on how to handle it, this particular shampoo came up. The 2% salicylic acid helped that problem and I loved the light fragrance. My hair is fine, and it did not weigh it down.

I have tried the shampoo , conditioner, hair mask, oil, dry shampoo, texture hair spray, and leave in conditioner, the leave in conditioner is ok, use very little as it is heavy and can make hair crunchy, but once I learned my curve it was ok, everything else irritated my scalp between the fragance and also dried my hair out extremely, like breakage from them, I had used the line for fine hair.......I could not get thru the first use due to how hair felt, reacted, and my scalp

You know what I bought recently and it is so OG? I got The Body Shop Banana shampoo and conditioner. It is fun and smells good. Better than the Briogeo banana. I go through a set of shampoo and conditioner and then ALWAYS change it up. Maybe once or twice in the past year I did the same products bottle to bottle and it was Devacurl. But I need to give that a break due to the scent.

I think some products hit and miss. I only tried leave in conditioner and loved it more than aveda bottle I’m using now. Wave spray is perfect for my thin hair to give a natural wave when air dried or used as hairspay after curling. But I hated scalp scrub so bad haha

I use their shampoo and conditioner, it makes my hair feel soft, especially when I blow dry or straighten it and I haven’t really noticed the scent actually. I really want the thick hair masque and heat protectant spray.

Your last point about it being just a cosmetic hairline is so helpful! I am a sucker for good packaging and have always been curious about Ouai but I tend to shy away from celebrity owned brands….plus I also have really thick, curly, color treated hair. So if a product isn’t pulling its weight to combat all the things I’m doing to it (lol), I’m not interested.

The oil does nothing. It makes your a hair greasy. This brand has no business charging the same as Redken who has tested their products for decades. Ouai is a fad. Period. A Kardashian affiliation too.

STOP!!! You are insane 😮These products are GREAT! The smell is wonderful. You are NOT familiar the magnolia scent but that’s understandable living up north. These products are great for 3b, 3c, and 4a hair. It is great for daily use. Moisturizing and feels great and not drying. Great products. No, Ouai did NOT pay me to say this I’m a regular consumer who loves this product.
