Thinking about it. Why would Regina's first thought be the Dark Curse when she has an item in her possession that can let people travel to other worlds? (The Mad Hatter's Hat) Rumple's protection spell only specified the land they were in. She could have just used the hat to send/take them to another land with magic and killed them there.

Rumple made a deal with Snow and Charming. Rumple made it so Regina could not harm them in the Enchanted Forest ever again. The whole reason was so Rumple could put that little idea in her mind to travel to another land - therefore eventually enacting Rumple's curse.

I remember he once said in his prison, "I am exactly where I want to be". So maybe he could escape anytime he wanted but he wanted to stay there but I don't exactly remember why. He is helping both sides Regina and snow whenever he wanted so he used this prison for his own use.

It wasn't immediately after, Snow was quite pregnant when they did that, and Rumple was captured after they were married due to the Charmings being invited to Cinderella's wedding, which is around when he was captured. There is about nine months between the wedding and the curse being cast, and a lot of things happen in-between, like Rumple being caught, the first attempt to cast the curse and so on.

I’m not sure where the kingdoms divide exactly but on the official wiki pages it says that Regina is the Queen of the EF, which would mean all the other monarchs were rulers of their own lands and then ruled essentially by Regina. Since Charming became a Prince in King George’s kingdom, marrying Snow White would essentially make her the Princess but since King George never technically relinquished the throne, I’m not sure if Charming would be King. As far as Regina goes, she became Queen Regnant after Leopold’s death, meaning she was the sole monarch with all the power. Snow is of age to take the throne and has a claim to it but since Regina never relinquished it or they never crowned Snow, Regina is still technically the Queen. But that is all of course if they follow old medieval laws. OUAT has so many plot holes and stuff that it’s hard to keep track.

But in the missing year Snow White and Prince Charming are seen ruling, so they are queen and king then. But then everyone goes back to storybrooke as a second cruse hits, Zelena's I stopped watching after this so I don't know the answer to your question. But I hope you understand they were Queen and King for a short time before the first cruse and in the missing year but we never got to see them doing anything.

I think she was only banished for a short period of time( probably until she regained her magic) then she probably managed to take back her castle because even though she can’t hurt charming and snow she can still hurt the people around them.Plus whenever they get to close she can easily teleport them somewhere else. So considering how powerful her magic is and all of the guards she somehow got,Snow and Charming couldn’t really stop her doing all of those things.This made everyone in their kingdom still consider her the queen because even though she no longer had the throne she still had all this power and was very much feared
