One of the things that's going to have to change is that Joe C. is going to have to change the way he does his job. He's no longer an AD, he is now a General Manager. Joe seems to be all about facilities, but freaking facilities don't matter much anymore. What's the point? These guys aren't student athletes anymore, they're just athletes. A lot of them are only going to be there a year, maybe two, then they'll be playing somewhere else. That's the whore house they've made of college football. So you might as welll forget the facilities, and forget buying these guys toys, and take your money and buy yourself an offensive line, a QB or a recieving corp . . . whatever you need. The rest of it, unless an upgrade is absolutely needed, is just a waste of time and money. You have to be smart about contracts and smart about money. You can't worry about feelings, and you gotta be decisive and make moves in a timely way. It's like the NFL now. Either get with it, or get going.

I think Joe C is a huge part of the problem too but what facilities are you talking about? They’ve been talking about redoing the west side of the stadium and press box for 15 years now and they haven’t got it done. They’ve needed to do something about the horrible Loyd Noble center for decades now (see how they have to run to the city of Norman to beg and plead for them to fund a new arena). Remember that football only facility that was being talked about in BV’s first year that nobody has said a word about since? OU is either broke or Joe C is a cheapskate. If they weren’t willing to spend money on facilities back when that was the big thing I am skeptical they are willing to play the nil game to win.

3 key plays dictated this game. OU was doing well until Special Teams let LSU run back a TD, then gave up the big play when Nussmeier threw a bomb and finally when Bauer threw the interception. My son and I were on the first row behind the OU bench and the players attitude seemed melancholic, almost stoic. Living in Louisiana as a Sooners fan has been tough but this year just sux completely. My only saving grace is that we will get the Tigers back in the Lloyd Noble center in February

To me BV isn't a good head coach. Bear in mind I want to see him do well but I just don't see any spark here. He makes poor decisions such as hiring SL and then putting JJF in as OC, letting the OLine become decimated after last year, getting rid of Gabriel before joining the SEC. None of these are good decisions. After watching BV for 3 seasons I see him drowning under the high level management required to be successful year after year. Stoops a DC had the ability to be CEO but BV does not. We will go 6-6 next year if we are lucky.

JJF wasn't left a bad situation, he helped create that situation and we know that by how he called plays. The insistence on using Bauer is proof of it. With BV as HC we will NEVER succeed. He wants to coach defense and let the offensive side do what they want. Letting JJF run the clock out at the half instead of driving is a JOKE. And let's not act like our defense is elite. It's not. It's good, not great. Until they fire BV we are cooked.

There’s only one reason our offense looks like it does is the trenches we got to have a consistent offensive line team does if you don’t you’re not gonna move the ball and then we get all of our top receivers injured. What can you do? They did the best they could for what they have if we don’t get this offensive line fixed Off, I’ll be the same. I don’t care who the quarterback is great great receivers you have if you can’t throw the ball and run the ball because the quarterback is running for his life. What the crap can you do? The offensive line is got to be a powerhouse like it has been in the past when we had great off fences. The game is in the trenches, both offensively and defensively. We have a great defensive line and great linebackers. We’ve got to improve on cornerbacks if you can have a great offensive line it don’t matter who’s at the hill of the team because you can’t function and show your talent if you’re running for your life all the time, and if you look at all the film and the games that I watched everyone of them, the offensive line is the problem. You can have the best offensive coordinator in the world, but it won’t work if you’re offensive line is it good? What part of this picture don’t all you whiners out there see

The offense must be fixed before the thought of firing Brent can even be entertained. Yep, the secondary has been gettable all season especially when the pass rush gets neutralized. LSU was a terrible matchup for OU since they have elite receivers, two tackles that are first round talents, and a QB who can sit in the pocket and distribute the ball to playmakers efficiently.

Any other player that plays as badly as Shart would be benched. Jackson got benched. Hawkins got benched. Tatum gets benched but Shart is just let loose to f up every play he's on the field. I'm pretty sure Bauer Shart is a terminator sent from the future to kill OU football before they can take over the SEC like they have every other conference they've ever been in. Wherever Finley goes, I pray he takes Bauer Shart with him 🙏

OUs defense was ok but not great this year. All season long, any time an opponent needed to move down the field they shredded OU’s pass defense. This program is on shaky ground. Parker said it best after the Missouri game. Time for Venables to stop talking about and be about it.

Kanak will have a better chance in the NFL because he is fast AF and has room to improve. Kip lewis will become an all pro safety in the NFL.
