Have you plugged in the ac wall charger and checked the polarity with an outlet tester on the unit? Mine is showing reverse polarity. Which means you may not want to charge and use it on your transfer switch. Any thoughts?

Live in 2500 Sq feet home and if something happen I dont need to turn the lights all over the room or tvs... Something need power like refrigerator and Ac unit.. Does this power inverter generator drain battery fast or it last more then a day

I believe the AC inverter uses 15% battery in a 24 hour period. You could run a refrigerator close to a whole day on just the Mega 2 but not an air con. What type of air conditioner do you have?

Thanks for the detailed review. Any how the ac + solar charging prioritization works? Like let’s say you have 800w connected as well as the ac power connected for charging. Let’s also say the unit is full. Now apply a 900w load to the unit. Does it grab all 800w that it can from the solar and make up the difference from the ac power? Hopefully I make sense

This is a great question. What I think will happen is the AC charging and DC charging will kick on at nearing the same time since the load is more than the solar input. The system prioritizes the solar input first over AC. I did test this. Are you looking at getting a solar generator or do you have one already?

The slower you charge the Batteries the longer they last, plus it is ramping up to charge which is like a rv slow start for an AC unit It is a safty feature Dude. Common Sense . Why are you in such a rush to get it to start charging . Geesh folks are so much in a hurry for it to charge?

This is the first unit I've seen the solar input ramp up. I've seen it on the AC charging before. I wanted to point it at in the video as its something I don't usually run across.

So many people call these generators.They are NOT generators, they are power stations. The internal batteries must be charged via wall outlet or solar panel. These boxes store power. They do not generate power.

Thanks for the review, but, no thanks. this unit still uses unreliable, outdated, low surge, high frequency, transformerless inverter technology with a shorter life expectancy than a much higher surge, longer lived, low frequency, transformer based inverter. No experienced, "true" off gridder would ever rely on a high frequency inverter for their power. You might be able to start and run some high surge loads, when high this frequency inverters is new but every time you fire up or shut down that inductive load, you're shortening the life of the MOSFETs in your these inverters.
