For me personally, my Hoya compactas never really did well in soil, but they’ve thrived in leca and pon for me. I have variegated and Mona loa potted together in a pon leca mix. Reg compacta in all pon. Both working well.

I have my compacta in pon. It was in soil for a year or so and it didn't grow and once i got it into pon it was way happier and grew much more! I keep a leca layer reserve in no drainage to help with it being thirsty

Hoyas are so rewarding. Beautiful leaves and if you’re really lucky you also get beautiful blooms. And as Miro says ‘you can never have too many Hoyas 🤸🏾🪴💚✨
