Our 11 Day East Africa Safari trip in Kenya and Tanzania

Our customized East Africa Safari to Kenya and Tanzania was 11 days and was less than $5000 a person (including international flights). We went during June to try to see the Great Migration. We visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Seregenti National Park, and Maasai Mara. We started and ended our trip in Nairobi, Kenya. Gosheni Safaris organized our itinerary and used Alltime Safaris as their sister company for our Kenya portion. Everything was thorough, well-planned, and well-executed.

Hello I’m planning a trip to east Africa or South Africa depending on the packages I can find but I have heard that the tours in Tanzania are not private game tours that there are many tour companies out in the safari at one time, did you experience this? Also do you recommend the tour company you did the safari with? Any pros or cons? Thanks in advance for the info

Hi Seyda! We customized an itinerary with Gosheni from Arusha, Tanzania after deciding which national parks we wanted to visit. Your vehicle is private, but yes there are lots of other tour companies that also drive through the national parks. Luckily, we went at the end of June during the shoulder season so it wasn't too busy. Most of the reputable tour operators have radios in their cars and communicate to each other when they see certain animals. They all want to help their clients see the big 5 :) Pros with Gosheni: reliable, personal vehicles that they personally own, they have flight insurance if their client gets hurt and needs to go back to the major city for care, unlimited water, personal attention and flexibility if you have preferences with lodging and parks. Cons: we had some issues with border crossing between Kenya-Tanzania but hopefully they have worked out that communication with their sister company. Lmk if you have any other questions! East Africa was our favorite trip so far :)
