That's an old Overnite truck. This will be a good truck to restore.

I use to drive one of those. Mine had a 300+. And a straight pipe. Loved that mack sound

Hopefully he released the brakes. When he was backing it up the way the truck was wobbling tells me the brakes were still on. It should backup smoothly at an idle. I drove a 73 F 700 with the 237 and the 5 speed and the only time I needed to give it more throttle was backing a trailer uphill

People keep commenting on the engine rpms. I wonder of the brakes are stuck and not fully releasing? In that case he may need to "goose" the truck to get it to move. I'm just seeing this video but I'm guessing the truck has been sitting for a while so the brakes may be stuck.

Release the brakes man should be just idling back.

They may be stuck. That truck looks like it's been sitting a long time.

Old truck deserves someone who has an idea how to drive it. Got have the brakes on every time he lets off throttle immediately stops just bobbing around yard shouldn’t need that

why d0es he keep goosing it for? it's a diesel!!
@kman-mi7suАй бұрын
It might have a stuck pedal, engine issue, or the brakes are not releasing fully.

It's a lot easier to drive if you release the brakes.
