After having been married for almost 15 years now and having been blessed with 10 precious children I would 100% encourage y'all to do something VERY special for this first anniversary before your sweet baby is born. As Katie said from here on out you will have the blessing of children, this will be your first and last anniversary that you will be able to take without children or having to get a babysitter....If Katie can still fly why not go to an all inclusive Island 💗🏝. You can always go to New York another time since it's so close to where y'all live!

Yes! I agree! We got to take a trip when I was 20 weeks pregnant last year and I am so glad we did! It’s so different once you have a child, not that it’s a burden it just takes so much of your time and energy. Plus, it will give you time together before such a major change to bond. Even if it’s a small trip, or not so far away, I would definitely go for it!

I agree, I also think when you become a 1st time Mummy it's harder to enjoy to leave them behind. You both equally will bel thinking of them while your away. It's just the way it is ! Mine our 19 & 15 and we still miss them when they aren't with us. So yeah live it up, travel,& treasure these last few months of living on the fly !!?? 🥳 💗

My daughter was horseback riding and a motorcycle went by and scared the horse and it reared backwards and fell over on top of my daughter who had fallen off. She had multiple fractures in her hip and ribs, deflated lung and other things . She was life flighted to a trauma one hospital. She had multiple surgeries. It was awful!

I used to be a travel agent. The airline should give you a voucher for one year and all you need to pay is the change fee. Katie’s issues during pregnancy will give you the circumstances where the airline ought to waive a cancellation fee. Also not sure of the cruise you chose but if you need to do it next fall/winter, consider the southern Caribbean since it will be out of the hurricane belt. Also for decor, my sister just had a baby girl & over her crib are beautiful big paper flowers and butterflies then my niece's name in the center cut out wood in a pretty font. The flower colors matched her floral bedding and curtains and her name is also painted a shade to match her bedding ...it makes a statement, its feminine, & something she won't outgrow anytime soon as i made the same type of paper flower setup for my other niece's room who's five. Also shelving or book shelves our a necessity for decor, books, & memorabilia. I've always done shelving in my kids rooms for all of their lives !

A wise paint professional once told me while I stood trying to find a paint sample that matched what was inside my head, that I could “half” the color when mixing. That being said, I found a color that for my ideas was a little too dark and she suggested mixing it at half color strength. It turned out perfectly! I later used that trick many times when looking for a color that allowed an accent wall. Good luck with figuring out a special get-a-way!

Do not give up on a very special anniversary/babymoon trip. Book an all inclusive resort in the Keys, or the Bahamas. Check other cruises, or go to a mountain resort in the Rockies…..whatever, make it special if you can.

Maybe not getting to go on the cruise is a blessing in disguise with how sick you’ve been in this pregnancy. I’m sorry that it happened and hope you can get your money back or vouchers. And hopefully you can come up with a wonderful alternative. Maybe go somewhere that would still give you ultimate Christmas fun plus great food although somewhere warm sounded nice too. Try the Annville Inn in PA near Hershey. Beautiful at Christmas time and very relaxing. We spent 2 days there for our 10yr anniversary and it was amazing. The inn keepers were amazing hosts.

If your getting most of your money back. Do a three day NYC vacay. Book a boutique Hotel , get reservations @ a top NYC 5 star restaurant for dinner , & u MUST book tix for a Broadway show.

I was going to suggest looking at Etsy for pretty girl wall decals or something like that…big flowers etc that can be changed out as she gets older. They look like wallpaper but so much easier to remove when you need a change.

That wall is precious! Perfect subtle baby pink 💕 A trip before the baby comes is so important, especially since you’ve just been married a year. You feel like you’ll do it later, but life happens. My husband and I did a quick honeymoon (because we were both in the last semester of our nursing program) and we were going to do the “real one” later. Well, it’s been 23 years and it still hasn’t happened! 😂 Every time we were going on a great trip, I wanted the kids to experience it with us. I would do a relaxing beachy trip or a really nice hotel. I’d stay out of NY. You have the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida. Be in a beautiful place, turn off your phones for a few days, and just get lost in each other ❤❤❤❤ By the way, I have three girls and my middle one is Haley 💕

I’m so sorry about not being able to go on your anniversary/babymoon trip!! Since it’s your first anniversary and also your last one before kids I highly recommend you find something special to do. My husband and I went to an all inclusive resort in Mexico for our honeymoon and 2 yr anniversary. It is a magical place and so relaxing. They also have sister resorts in other areas. It is the Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres Mexico. You only need a plane ticket to get there. Can’t recommend this place enough! Check it out online! Also love the nursery color you picked out!

Well, I guess that both of you have something to look forward to in a few years!! Lol. Btw, you can buy peel and stick wallpaper that comes off easily if you want to change it and it doesn’t leave any residue on the walls. Pottery Barn Kids have some really, really cute peel and stick wallpaper. The pink woodland creatures one is adorable!! Not sure if the pinks are the same colors though. You could just do the paper on the crib wall and leave the rest painted. Have fun with the nursery and congratulations on your anniversary!!

You can still have your paradise trip...just book a all inclusive resort in the Bahamas or Mexico. You won't be disappointed. The beaches are gorgeous and the water so blue...all inclusive you can't go wrong.

Pregnancy cravings are real and not to be taken lightly. Constantly trying to find things to eat that won’t make you nauseous or sick. My Mochi are the best! I love the banana chocolate. But they are hard to find now. Room is beautiful. Just the right touch of pink. Can’t wait to see it finished.

Bummer. I hope you get your money back as well. There are several all inclusive resorts that could be lovely. You could fly to the destination and just stay at the resort. The list is as follows: Bungalows Key Largo (FL), Henderson Park Inn Destin, FL, Lake Austin Spa Resort, Austin, TX, Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, Tucson, AZ, The Lodge on Little St. Simons Island, St. Simons Island, GA, Blackberry Farm, Walland, TN. This is according to Us News and World Reports. There’s lots of all inclusive resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, and more. I think you should do something celebratory before baby comes. Interesting. Too bad about the trip. Yes, New York sounds like a good plan; there are so many things to do and see there. You then can go many times and see different things. I was in New York a number of years ago and only really went to one place, so much more to go to in other times. I have family close to there, otherwise I never would've. But being Canadian, I'm not ready to leave Canada yet post-pandemic. Give it a few years. I'm sure your cruise will happen one day for another anniversary. Have a great day

Sorry the Anniversary trip had to be cancelled, but selfishly I’m glad you cannot go in the cruise. Alot of cruises have outbreaks during flu Season especially with Covid also. Come to NY for a Broadway show and romantic dinner and stay at one of the premiere Hotels. Love the Pink Color 🥰🥰

Just wondered if you don't want to do wallpaper, have you considered doing or getting a mural done on a wall. Could be some animals or a pastel rainbow or a hotair balloon etc. A lot easier to change up as she grows older rather than wallpaper.
