With due respect to both of you, I would like to say that I am not convinced with your comment that "university is important". I have been working since last 10.7 years in IT. We do take interviews but we never focuss on university and all. What is most important is skillsets and attitude towards work. For example , if an xyz candidate is having good knowledge in Devops/Cloud/Java/Python then we cannot reject him based on his university. My native is also Khandesh and it's quite common misconception among people. Do let me know if you had come across this situation ever where candidate was rejected due to university. Correct me if I am wrong. My intention is to encourage people from universities other than Mumbai and Pune.
