Great content. Worked well as a trio Sam brings an endearing honesty as well as a different perspective that reaches an additional audience and type. Michael continues to provide remarkably intelligent insights that are regularly on the money….and I say that watching this video whilst wearing my first Breitling I’ve recently bought….and getting a sinking feeling seeing its very similar to the one he dissed in the video :-). Oh well! I still like it. Loved the discussion on Trilobe, really enjoyed discovering them and trying on one at W&W earlier this year. It’s actually refreshing to get a freshman’s perspective from time to time, because they see things a different way and sometimes remind you of what it was like when you first became passionate about watches. Question on the milgauss line up. If they release a new model with new movement/look with the same colours as before will the old references one go down in value? Also how would it be if they released the lineup again but only with clear crystals or only one colour would the green crystals go up in value ?

Happy holidays! I love Breitling! My hubby owns one and I'm saving to purchase a Chronomat within the new year. Watch people might not speak of Breitling, but it's definitely a worn brand around people I know and see around. Kinda IFYKYK thing. What's funny is the coach on my favorite NFL team wears a solid gold Navitimer. He previously owned the stainless steel and upgraded. The sports media has focused on his watch numerous times. I feel Breitling owners aren't as vocal as say Rolex owners.

Strange about Breitling. They were one of the first brands I was drawn to. Back when I was selling Porsches, I was delighted when one of my customers came in wearing a Navitimer. It made him stand out in a way a Rolex wouldn’t, for me.

There’s a good comment there - Tudor is not exciting at the onset when u buy it but you get the maximum joy since you get to and will be wearing it most of the time without fear and the plus point is that the bezel and “scratches” add attractiveness to the watch.

with respect to Rolex, I think too much negative feeling is among collectors and enthusiasts that maybe big change is ahead. If I was advising Rolex I would be going horizontal and owning/ controlling all the supply chain and sales and from one view that looks like a strategy in any case. Rolex will have to change and redefine itself I would expect.

I genuinely think that Sam is a great addition to Theo and Harris. At times the watch collecting community can be too technical to the point that it ruins the collecting journey when it is supposed to be fun. And I genuinely think that Sam gets that. He understands the beauty and design, and how some pieces can be funky. You don’t need to know how to pronounce every brand perfectly or know how the spring drive movement works. In order to be an enthusiast you just need to genuinely love watches like Sam does. And to have the balls to come onto these videos and bring excellent energy, fantastic input, and overall just a great vibe is more than any of these keyboard virgins that hate him could ever do. So same I applaud you and to Christian, you can keep the $100 or donate it…but I still want that letter signed by the three of you! Cheers yall

Breitling is honestly on fire....recently stopped by a boutique to look at a new 43mm Navitimer and it was sublime. The dial, the case, the way they set the crystal now, everything felt amazing. I think they will get more attention as people actually try their revamped line up.

I've watched a number of videos with Sam in them and I personally love the addition. Sam is a likable guy and doesn't talk out of his ass or talk over Christian and Michael. He listens and then shares his thoughts. Just because he may agree with some comments doesn't mean he's a yes man. And neither does the fact that he doesn't go off on tangents in the instances where he may disagree. He just has a more docile temperament. The people criticizing him are just the typical clowns who take themselves and this hobby too seriously. Which is ironic because neither Christian nor Michael take themselves or this channel too seriously. It is just a group of enthusiasts sharing their insights and opinions on something they enjoy. After listening to his interviews on The Zero, Sam's work ethic and knowledge of watches speak for themselves and I think he's fit in very nicely.

I think at least part of the reason the average watch guy isn’t talking about Breitling right now is because in recent years it’s all about value over retail and value retention. Also is it hard to get? Breitling is too expensive at retail, too easy to get, and loses too much value for people to be super into them right now. I also think too many bad watches amongst the good ones.
