Streets of Red is the game that got me into indie titles and it really showed me what alot of quality and creativity could be had and since then my world of gaming has opened. And without that game I would have missed so many great games. I think many gamers have that one game that opens up there gaming world. Just on this list Mother Russia Bleeds, Coffee Crisis, 99 vidas I would never have looked at before the Switch for me the Switch opened my eyes to the world of indie titles. Great content as always thankyou

Shing! is another great beat em up on switch with local and online co-op up to 4 players I really like it It's actually on sale right now for $2 👍 99VIDAS I'd say deserves more attention. I played it on PS VITA first time and still have it 👍 I love TMNT SR pixel graphics, SoR4 graphics and the 9 monkeys of Shaolins graphics. great video 😊

River City girls 1 and 2, and scott Pilgrim vs the world the game revived my love for beat em ups. Amazing games, i recommend anyone getting those three games the chances you can.

Love seeing you guys cover beat em ups but there were definitely some heavy hitters left out for rubbish as mentioned in other comments. Also there’s difference between a publisher and a developer: Dotemu didn’t develop SOR4 that was Lizard Cube and Tribute did Shredders. Also that little indie darling who did streets of red did Double Dragon Gaiden, which is also worth distinguishing from the other switch double dragon: Neon.

Not going to recommended a game but a book. Its called Go Straight by bitmap books and covers loads of side scrolling beat em ups all the way from the 80s until now

Ekk I haven a beatum up addiction clearly have 17 of these titles. Fight N Rage I really enjoy because of its multiple routes its hard though putting a single game down though. If I went just for music its River City Girls easy but the music in most of the games on this list are excellent

I love beat em ups and there's some great ones such as TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Fight'n Rage, Scott Pilgrim just to name a few. Also, you forgot to mention the Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle. Some classics from Capcom. However, let's stop with the term pixel art. It's a rather annoying term.
