My granddaughter is about the same age as the boys. She was born early and then diagnosed with covid and your journey helped our family through that horrible time in the nicu. My daughter had covid and we were all separated and inside my world was a mess then. All the things you have shared truly helped. My mom got a trach in 2004. She only had it for 7 months but before she could go home she had to go through a bunch of training on how to care for it and herself (some things we all had to learn like the suction machine in case of emergency) but she said it was so overwhelming and they made her learn/do so many things she thought there was no way we'd be able to care for it at home without 24hr nurse. She said that was not an example of living with a trach or caring for it at home and she was shocked how much easier it was in reality. I know its different. Ezra is individual and more complex and unable to communicate what he feels/needs, but hopefully that provides some comfort if any is possible? Though I'm hoping he is already home. I haven't been on IG in awhile.

That's how our kids loved. I use to put blankets /teddies on their eyes to get them asleep 💙 the venting he did so well 😃 and I can tell you it can make you feel sooooo better 🙌.
