Something I very recently discovered is that there are companies making pants and jeans with the front pockets on the outside of the pant leg like a cargo pocket, but just under the belt. You can fit WAY more stuff in these things comfortably than in the traditional pants pockets that are inside the leg material. And they're made of the same strong material as the pants are, so no more holes forming in the thin pocket material. Some of them also have dual pockets on each pocket with zips, snaps or straps to keep them closed up. Super rad.

As a bicycle rider, because I cannot drive, I carry lots of tools on my bike. But on me personally, it is as such. Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker. Two blades, can opening, cap lifter, each with a flat head screwdriver. Scissors, mini pliers, Philips head screw driver, Awl with eye for sewing, and a hook. Next a Old school Gerber Multi pliers, full sized pliers and wire cutter, with assorted tools, and a file. I can open it with one hand. If I need a heavier blade, it will be my Buck 110. Yeah, I'm old school :) As for a bag, the Condor Tactical three way deployment bag. A mini maglite flashlight, pen and paper, compass, With room for other odds and ends as needed. I wear it on a shoulder strap.

Love the videos as always. I have carried a sling. Good option. When you are the one wearing it, you think everyone is judging you like you are wearing a man purse. But these days, no one cares. In fact pay attention to random people carrying all types of slings these days. I wear a sling that is more set up like a chest pack when going to the gym. The rest of the time, I like an edc backpack. I carry too much stuff but I always end up needing it.

SLING BAG! I JUST got a mini molle sling bag that I'm preparing for an interstate and international trip. I love all the pockets and zips and molle straps. It's going to house all my edc gear that won't go well in my pockets. I'm only going to be taking this, a backpack and a pocket belt on the international part of the trip. I won't be flying. I'm amazed at how much can fit into this tiny sling bag! It will even fit 2 - 16oz stainless drinking bottles in it. Shocked. So anyways... you asked... 😀 This will be my new EDC bag once I get it all set up with what I use daily. Especially since it will hold my coffee and water daily carry bottles in it! I'm stoked!

Congrats on the growth of the channel! But, on the note of pliers...pretty much daily I carry the 4 in Knipex cobra pliers along with my Leatherman Charge TTI in the slot where the extra bits would go, it's nice having an option between needle nose and something like the cobras with that adjustable feature along with that "bite" and full pliers function. I carry the 10 inch cobras 40-50+ hours at work and as you described the 5 inch ones these are just the same but 2x the size lol, I would recommend looking into the Knipex Wrench pliers, both 5 inch and 10 inch, they have an awesome ratchet like feature that once you get the hang of it you'll replace your normal adjustable wrench

Great video fellas. I just went to the Alpaka site and ordered a pouch. I currently carry a Trayvax Element wallet and have been for the last 8-10 years. It’s been an amazing wallet and I’ve been looking for an effective way to carry gear without overloading my pockets. I tend to scratch my phone on my knives since I don’t carry my phone the same pocket all the time. I’m ambidextrous and use my phone with either hand so it tends to end up in whatever pocket I last had my hand on it. I know, my ADHD and Autism battle with each other between organization and “Look Squirrel” 😂. I’m now looking at either a Banter or Lander knife and probably adding a Knipex mini Cobra. Thanks again for all the info! Cheers!

Gifted Victorinox Huntsmans to my brothers (including chosen family) in 2021. It might be a bit thick for EDC, but fits well in your vehicle console, alongside a Leatherman or Giraffe multitool. Had use of the Huntsman saw blade when I threw a serpentine belt which got wrapped up and needed to be cut out. Not sure if you've done this, but would enjoy a vehicle console EDC: not under-storage or a toolbox in the bed of a truck, but simply items which are super useful in console storage, that arm-rest station and USB charging hub with easy and immediate access.

+1 on the knipex cobras, i carry the one size up from those ones everyday at work and theyve done so much work its insane. My choice for this year has been the Bradford 3D front scout carry and the Keen Cincinnati boots. No break in needed so comfortable right out of the box amazing products. They even have a factory in Oregon, so many are US made!

First time watching. Great video. The lander looks like a must for me. I have a few civivi knives in my Amazon cart now. Oddly enough I’ve spent the last 12 years in the auto industry

Zac! I want to hear you talk about hats if its something you're interested. I enjoy my headgear and have way to many hats and headgear and would love to hear you talk about some of the caps and other hats you wear and maybe if they have interesting stories. A cover on your head protects you from sun, cold, rain and all elements as well as displaying any type of message you want. A pivitol piece of EDC for everyone for thousands of years.

Love the insight! We might have to work that in some how. Totally agree that hats are an important part of our day to day.

@@zacinthewild there is a whole hat rabbit hole you might be surprised to learn you can fall down into. From historical reasons why certain styles appeared and died out and how different materials or styles became popular by the region they were in. Down to how some crown styles are formed to better deflect wind or rain or sun by where the wearer might encounter those environments more. Hope you have fun! Keep up the good work guys

I usually have a knife and a multi-tool, usually a SAK. If the knife is clipped to my pocket, like the ZT 0640 I'm carrying at this moment, then the big Swiss Champ is in a leather sheath on my belt. If I'm carrying a knife on my belt, such as the classic Buck 110 Folding Hunter, then the SAK is either an Explorer or a mid-70s Climber that I've had since my first job out of college. A bandanna of course, a magnifying glass, some hair ties, my AA challenge coin, my wallet, and a Thrunite Archer Mini complete the day-in/day-out items. I like that Alpaka pouch you showed and ordered one, so the hair ties, coin, and flashlight -- maybe some additional items -- aren't just rolling around loose in my pocket. Oh yeah, a Galaxy Z Fold 3 and a set of Galaxy Buds 2 round things out. Things get changed for specific activities, like if I know I'll need decent pliers I'll carry the Leatherman Wave instead of the SAK. Camping might see a Mora Companion instead of a folder. And so forth.

Awesome gear. Got a Knipex Cobra and the size up. Got a Viperade v3 pocket wallet thing, a Kershaw Barge, LM Surge and squirt. Just need a pen now. Got a Begleiter which I swap out with the Barge. Thanks to watching Zac, and Ben during the pandemic. How is the house and workshop coming along?

Civivi Elementum button lock made it another whole year. But just switched to that Kizer Serape vibe and an digging it. Plus the tag and the bead for my lanyard and the bag. Little Victorinox SD 420 Black. Always and forever. I carry this silly pocket Ferro. But I use it a lot which is funny. Lots of starting the grills or Smokers or chiminea. Fostar something. Lanyard with tinder para. Deep carry. Has a compass I don't need but look at. Lol Streamlight Microstream I've carried for so long the paints worn off. Does 250. Think I may upgrade this year. Lot of cool lights these days. SOG PowerPint. Friggin love it. Get one if you don't have one. I've been mad at SOG for years. Wouldn't replace a spring for their version of the Axis. But bought one and have to say. It's great. Tons of use. Especially if you get a little ratchet deal. Cheap finger ratchet. Leathermans is a huge ripoff. I can't believe they charge so much for their ratchet. You can rig it cheap and it's rad. Total ratchet bit and socket driver in a tiny package you don't even feel in your pocket. And I double carry on the right with my folder. I wish they would have had a reversible clip! That would be a great addition. Zippo. Torch zippo for cigars. Old antique cigarette case. Been using the little Serape pouch for bits and chargers and lock pic set. RidgeWallet. For too long. May switch. Carry a little pendant worrystone. Oh and I carry disposables when it comes to pens. Can give them away and I tend to lose good ones. Sharpie Gel 1.0 is great. Pilot and Uniball Bolds are good. Streak some. But the Sharpie disposables are great. That's it. I got sidetracked and just emptied my pockets and forgot the task sorry. Ha

I am currently deployed over seas as a mechanic and I carry a Fanny pack with an assortment of commonly used wrenches and sockets as well as my leatherman surge and a crescent wrench. I can’t tell you how many times having these tools on me has gotten me out of a pinch. The knipex cobra pliers might have to find there way into there as well!!!
